This is a fun game all. Totally worth the promo code and buying it for that matter. You can tell lots of care was given in making it
I've only gotten a little more than 1/4 of the way through, but the game is really fun! It looks great and handles very well, with excellent ball physics and tight controls. I love the different themes and how the game takes you into the environments with specifically designed tracks (very artistically done, btw) and music. It gets quite challenging but not to the point where you get frustrated. I would have to say this is a great game, and there are very few accelerometer-based games that I like at all.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten all the way through yet, because my wife is now addicted to it and won't give me the iPod back! She hasn't finished it yet, either, mostly because she's not very good at it. One other thing I would love to see (hear?) is the ball breaking every time you fall off the track. I think it's only when the camera is zoomed in close you can hear it and that makes sense, however it is such an oddly satisfying sound that I want to hear it every time. I will finish it tonight, or go ahead with my appstore review anyway...if I can't finish tonight it probably has plenty of content as is anyway. Oh, and I know this is probably a lot more difficult to implement, but at some point in the future, it would be cool to see the ability to make challenges and asynchronous ghost races with OpenFeint friends, a la Jet Car Stunts. Just an idea...
yes guys you are absolutly right, but in the terms of collision with the world we had to remove a lot of things, in order to make the game work at a decent framerate on 2nf generation devices as well. in the near feature we are planning to add more to the next generation device, but now since the forth generation is coming out, we still have to see what to do! Anyway, thx for the suggestions! we are really open to update with your inputs
Well, the frame rate really is great, and I'm glad you kept that running at full steam. The game gets really tough, btw...I decided to go ahead and write the review even though I haven't beaten it yet. It's really a fantastic ball roller.
The game gets really challenging, really tough. But I love this, as this is gonna probably be my more longeve app I ever had. I also noticed that after having beaten some West track, when I came back to East to play, I was soooo much better than my first attempts. This is just great and increase even more longevity.
Got to say that I am enjoying this game more and more! All the actual game mechanics are spot on - the physics fantastic, the calibration great, the tracks outstanding (again coming from the accelerometer phobe!) The only things left to add in my mind are the little extras that don't even need to be there like the sounds and stuff like that. I do like the ghost track of your friends but honestly at this point I would not add anything as complicated as that until you see what the requirements from devs are with the new Game Center. I can only imagine that something like that would take a ton of work and then it might have to get deleted or rewritten and changed if Game Center is different. The other thing that I like is choosing tracks from each region - definitely beating some from the harder sections makes you a better player and so you for sure want to go back and beat your times. The replayability factor on that is great!
