Just snagged it at $1.99. Machinarium needs to include auto rotate. It is upside down. Installed size: 195MB.
It looks awesome, but what irritates me in this kind of game is that it has a lot of tedious trial and error. I mean how could I know how to rewire these wires in the box Spoiler on the high platform in the Spoiler kettle room if not for tedious trial and error? I guess it is not my kind of game
http://www.youtube.com/user/CrazyKillerStickman/videos?query=machinarium If you're really interested in completing it, and not opposed to getting some help - I checked out these vids in a couple spots... the PC version is exactly the same as the iOS version (except for the very last puzzle)
Completed the green orbs thingy. Took a good night's sleep and the answer became clear. Have since completed Machinarium, but still unclear about the plot. Is there any writeup you can recommend that clarifies what happened and why? The walkthru I consulted clashes with Wikipedia's take which is different from the developer's own walkthru, so... I play adventure games mainly for the story, not really the puzzles, that's why I am curious about this.
New update: -Retina ready (Looks freaking gorgeous on an ipad 3+) -now a universal app -Supports the ipad 1 -New pinch to zoom function. -Game center and iCloud integration
It said it was iphone 5 optimized but I still have black bars on the sides. Not a huge problem. But I can't help but feel a little misled.
Achievements are bugged on iOS7. I played through the game but only the ones I got while on wifi were unlocked. I tried to play through it again but now they won't activate at all. I guess I have to delete it from Game Center, reinstall and replay it.
Really, really creative game. The art is fantastic. My only gripe about this game is the terrible controls. The swipe/touch controls get rather frustrating. For example you swipe to walk, but 50% of the time the robo don't walk to where you want him to, he seems to walk to a random spot? Also for some reason you don't swipe up to climb, you actually have to tap the ladder rung itself, and with a small screen like an iPhone it's very frustrating to even tell where you're tapping when the objects are so tiny. This game should REALLY use a tap-and-hold to move scheme, NOT a swipe to move. Or at least make it swipe-and-hold to move.
