A friend is offering me a MacBook pro 2.4 processor in exchange for my iPad 16gb and my iPhone 3G. Do you think that it's a good exchange? I know the MacBook cost more than the iPad and iPhone combined, but you know what I'm talking about. I could really use some help, thanks.

That completely depends on what you're using it for. Some people don't have much practical use for a powerful laptop, so, for a lot of people, an iPad would actually make sense. But, if your Macbook Pro is your only computer, then no, it's a horrible trade.

And what about The iPad for the MacBook pro and keep the iPhone?

Ps: NotYou the MacBook isn't mine, the iPad and iPhone are.

    Perv, why do you care?
But, you are getting a used Macbook(I figure)? If so, definately NO.

The iPad and the iPhone are used as well so I don't see what is the problem with that. When I bought the iPad I was thinking of it's potential but I have lost hope, Maybe it will get better with iOS 4. Right now he offered a Black MacBook for my iPhone and $100, how about this?

NotYou hit it right on the head.
totally depends on what you use it for. I personally don't need a powerful laptop, so my ipad/iphone get used 90% of the time. my desktop gets used for anything else, and the old laptop just collects dust.

for me, it's the perfect set up. my iMac holds my media library, and does any "serious" computer work. while the iPad/iPhone get used for everything else. the lappy only gets turned on when I need to work from the road, which isn't often.

edit: and who knows, with a mouse, keyboard, and remote access for the ipad, I may not even need to use the laptop anymore!
