    Hi Guys,

Having some framerate issues with some games that I have been playing on my Mac.

Even from playing small games, after a few minutes the framerate drops suddenly making the game almost unplayable. I will just verify that these aren't massive console titles, just small games.

Macbook Pro Aluminium 15" 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4GB Memory Nvidia GeForce 92400M.

Firstly I would like to know if there are any quick fixes (tried clearing out my HD - 100GB space). Any other suggestions?

If the verdict is that the computer is too underpowered to play games, I don't want to buy a whole new computer, so I was wondering what should I upgrade? Processor, Ram?

    Thanks

    Mad

It's the cooling system on the macs. Make sure the fans are on when you are playing the game and the framerate will go back to normal. I kept having this issue and still do when I play MW 1 on my macbook pro 13" 2.53 GHz Nvidia 9400m.

What are the downsides to running a fan faster other than increased power consumption and a bit more noise? Potential harm from being overworked?

Most of the time, I'm not doing something intensive and my Macbook is making noise lower than normal background noise, and I certainly don't want to have a fan on.
