Aaaaaannnnnnnnd.... I kept my promise! Beta is in upload right now, all of you who pm'ed to me the mail address, should be able to download the game in some minute! Here it is a list of a few features:
    1. Everytime you re-enter the main menu, cash is restored to 500,000... this way you can buy all the cars
    2. It would be great if you test in app purchase the same (you won't pay anything since it's a test)
    3. I'm particoularly interested in knowing how the game performs on lower devices (iphone 5 - iphone 5s)
    4. Feel free to give me all the feedbacks you want (swear words included :p )
    5. Don't mind if some sentence is like "blablabla..." it's just a beta :p
    6. Some leaderboard does not exist yet XD
...ah! I know some text may get out of canvas on iPad. I'm fixing it right now. And lights in night mode are not optimized yet!

Hi Folks , thanks for the opportunity to test, my initial impression is that it's good, but hard... Gotta tune my brain to it a bit. Also for me personally, I would love to have a bonnet or front of car (bumper) camera view.

I have a few other things I've noted, Are you happy for stuff to be posted here or would you prefer being PM'd..

Great.. I am playing on a Gen 6 iPod. I've noted so far a couple of bugs, and some things that would be nice to include:

Bugs - at the moment when I go to start stage 6 in Italy(championship mode) the car won't drive anywhere, it won't move. This is using the 2wd Citroen.
Also, same car, after Stage 5 Italy time trial the game freezes and I have to quit.
I haven't tried different cars to see if it's only withe the Citroen or not.

Wish list - adjustment for tilt sensitivity. I am one of the few who prefer tilt over touch. A sensitivity slide adjustment would be great.

Also on steering, I feel there needs to be a dead zone at straight ahead.. It seems very twitchy at the moment.

Would love the ability to customise button size and layout on the screen.

A reset to track button would be great, I've gotten stuck a couple of times and had to quit and start again.

That's it so far, thanks for developing this, in my view the more great racing games the better!

    Cheers

Well, yes, there must be some bug I must fix because 2WD cars shouldn't be able to access 5th and 6th stage, as the Junior Championship features only 20 tracks, while the Senior Championship 30. I'll manage to fix it right now.
The slider for steering sensitivity is a great idea, and I guess it's going to be made in the next hours, plus I would like to experiment an exponential steer in place of the linear one. I'll add a dead zone too and you'll be able to test it in the next beta version (in which there will be a new menu and some little improvements).
Reset to track is already implemented in the code, but I noticed that it doesn't always work well, I need to adjust something :)
Thank you very very very very much for your help! I'm glad you like the project :D

There must be some kind of strange bug with the first car  I tested the j-spec champ with the 2nd one and I can go through all the stages with no issue. Did you get to the reward screen after finishing the Rally of Italy?

Not yet, with the first car, I cannot complete Italy, so I've started again with an S spec car. I have completed all the time trials for Italy, but the time trials for Finland are still locked. I'll keep going in championship and see what happens.
    Thanks

Ok, finished the Italian rally and moved ont the Finland rally, finished last:(
One thing I am noticing is that quite often the game is not registering my inputs. I'll go to brake into a tight corner and go fly straight ahead because it hasn't responded to me touching the brake, alternatively the same will happen with the acceleration, I'll get through a corner and try to accelerate out but it hasn't registered my touch and I just coast for a bit till I tap again.

On the car handling, for me it feels like there is no weight to the car... It's hard to explain but it doesn't feel like the car is truly connected to the road. The only reference I have is Rush Rally 2(which in my opinion is the best rally game to date released on iOS). Brownmonster has nailed the feel of the vehicle and their handling in that game. If you get close to that I think you're on a winner.

I'm still finding the steering sensitivity too twitchy at present, it's hard to keep the car in a straight line, could be my driving though #

Sorry I am not wanting to be negative if it seems that way, Just my thoughts for things really. I think this game has loads of potential with a few tweaks. I'd be interested to hear what others testing are feeling..

    Cheers

Okay. We worked hard on your inputs for the next beta release: we added a steer sensitivity slider and we also rewrote the whole code which handles tilt steering, so it now features a dead zone and a more intuitive feeling. I also found the bugs you talked about and we are fixing them right now.
Concerning the throttle and brake buttons, I will see what happenings.
Rush rally is a masterpiece in mobile Rally, but our product differs from it because we want it to be more simulative than arcade: putting the car into a drift on asphalt is quite hard (keep in mind that the j-spec cars are Front Wheel Driven, and they tend more to understeer). We had the chance to collect some telemetry of real rally cars for the asphalt tracks (all game's stages are modeled on real tracks), and the car models has been modeled trying to stick on that. It would be great if you can give a feed on the AWD cars too, and if you give us some hint about how to enhance control feelings :D
I hope someone joins us into testing, we would like to hear as many opinions as possible.
Again, thank you for your time and your help :)

Sounds great, in terms of arcade vs sim, I think that's where I need to change my mindset and reset my driving, because this leans more to the simulation I need to adjust my approach to the driving.

I drove the Fiesta in the Italian rally and now currently in Finland, I'm finding it quite tricky on the dirt. My initial felling is of understeer, ( I was probably expecting to be able to slide the rear a little more) but I think I need to apply the brakes sooner than I currently am.

I think the controls will feel better with the changes you have already made, I'm really looking forward to try them out.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, my preference for view would be a bonnet camera perspective. I find I tend to watch the car rather than the road ahead with chase cam, and in the cockpit view I feel very restricted. For me personally bonnet cam would help me set faster times.

Enjoying the co driver... He keeps asking " where the bleep did you get your license?". I've been hearing that a lot! #

ahahhaah! Concerning the co driver... that is my voice, and I fear it may sounds a bit annoying since it maybe has a too strong Italian accent. I'm currently in touch with someone who could do a better work as a copilot, and I hope he will lend his voice :) I noticed also that co pilot always says the same sentences, while I registered a bit more. I should rewrite his code too.
We will add bonnet cam and some other features before releasing next beta :) I hope tomorrow we will be able to deliver beta 2. :D
What about graphics? What do you think about it?

I actually like the Italian accent. My beautiful wife is Italian so I like it. Look forward to the bonnet cam.. Graphically it has an older feel to me, but I kinda like that.. There's still plenty of detail like dust, tyre smoke, weather etc and the car models a great!

    Hi again Folks,
First couple of things I've noted with the new build, steering is much better, but I think maybe it's gone too far in terms of sensitivity now, It now seems like the car doesn't want to turn initially. I have the sensitivity all the way up to Max and I keep running off track at turns.. It does feel much better than previous in terms of the twitchiness is gone , it now maybe needs more sensitivity dialled back in.

The reset to track seems to be ok, my only problem was I rolled onto my side, and got reset to the track on my side, so I couldn't continue...

I've only tried the one track so far, stage 1 Italy, so cannot comment yet on the other changes.

    Thanks
