Not sure why I never picked this up, but guessing its worth it? Never played it and just read some mixed reviews of the port itself.
Was hoping for a sale since I think the game never has been. Oh well I'll wait, one day it will go on sale.
64 but thanks! This game was there for me at a bad time in life... I will always love Lunar. So glad to see this update!!!
I hated Chrono trigger even back when it first came out. But this game is definitely worth the 7 I just can't afford it and no I don't drink a daily cup of coffee that everyone compares game prices on either I can't afford that too like I said I'll wait for a sale it will happen eventually Btw I also didn't like ff6 either I much preferred 4 over it. Back on snes when it was ff2 and 6 was 3
i replayed this for the play along shaun did, but got stuck at the final boss... any advice? and yes i did buff my characters so they do more damage and jessica focus on healing
I don't think it's ever going on sale. The amount of sub-licensing going on with this game means that the mobile publisher is already likely only making a buck and change on each copy sold. After Apple takes their cut, the remaining five bucks has to be shared between SoMoGa (mobile publisher), Gungho (owners of the IP and creators of the PS1 version this is built from), and presumably XSEED (their localization and voice recordings are used in this version). Not a lot of wiggle room there, certainly not enough to convince Gungho that the game should be devalued with a fire sale. Like, it's your decision, but I don't think you should hope for a sale.
Just got an update! Thank you so much SoMoGa Inc.! Update 2.1.5 includes a fix for a possible crash in the Cave of Trials on 64-bit devices and added 3D Touch as an option to go back to the main menu. Any other issues you experience report to support.somoga.com. Thanks again, guys!
Started playing Silver Star Harmony because that was the version I pocked up years back, but a few towns in and the area transitions are getting to me. So, plunked on this, since it’s had a nice slew of updates including support for my Stratus controller. But, ah, how might I get the on-screen buttons to not be there? They’re not terribly intrusive, but playing on the TV, I’d rather there not be ghost bubbles floating around.
Just beat the game tonight (DualShock 4 controller option in iOS 13 is niiice). Port’s janky in many ways (before the final battle, sometimes my items would all end up un-Give-able, perhaps from having given an equipped item to another character, for instance), but I’m on the leaderboards and’ve cleared the achievements. But, ah, that Extras menu...does it do anything? Seems like nall (the user, not the cat) hadn’t directly addressed it, but I get the impression it’s a placeholder?
I’m still trying to decide if it’s worth picking this up. This and FF3(6) were my first rpgs and god do I remember clearly how blown away I was with the FMV on the SEGA CD, I still have the psx collectors edition and your mention of TV had me wondering, are you playing via HDMI out? I find this kind of game is a must for a controller. When I tried it back in the day I couldn’t handle the on screen controls, one wrong misstep and you’re in a fight that hands your butcheeks to you and pray for a way out. I think I’d be more inclined if it had a bit of the emulation love that add in save states and rewinds. I don’t have the endless time eschewing homework and work work like I did back in the 90s, and when I put time in it my first thought was “how the frick did I complete this game?!”
