Out Now! https://itunes.apple.com/app/id973069188 =================================================================================== We are finally ready to share some more about our new game; Lumo's Cat. Lumo’s Cat is a single-player Real Time Defence game for MOBA playing, cat-lovers on the move. Lumo's Cat blurs the boundaries between the RTS and Tower Defence genres. The game simulates what takes place inside your cat’s dreams - and your cat is under attack! Hordes of raucous mice are sweeping in from every direction, each trying to awaken your sleeping cat. Your job is to deploy the Cat Defence Squad to fight off the mice and keep the cat asleep. As in real life, the food your cat eats before bed affects the dreams it has. In Lumo’s Cat, players can modify the difficulty of each game to suit their skill or mood by feeding the cat different food before it goes to sleep. Each level successfully completed adds a new pattern to the ever lengthening Cat Blanket - with the design entirely dependent on the food you just fed the cat. This gives each player a completely unique blanket that reflects their individual game experience and personal artistic taste! Players can share their blanket design with friends, and see what they have created! A big thank you to everyone here how played early builds and shared their thoughts! You have helped make the game better for future players. We will have a new beta for people to try very soon. We will also be at MCM Comic Con in London this week if people want to pop by and say hello.
Thank you. So glad you liked it! We are just implementing tutorials now, should have a new build to share early next week
Thank you! We has a really positive response to the play test, and are really excited about sharing the latest version soon
I'll post some video up when we finally get the game optimised enough to capture. In the mean time... The cat is asleep on her cushion. Evil mice try and wake her up (at the moment we have three different classes of enemy). You can see some mice at the top of the screen, just about to be attacked by the yellow dude. Your job is to protect the cat with the yellow defenders. There are 5 classes of defender, with different abilities. Some will automatically engage nearby mice, others need you to activate their attack. You press the SPAWN button to see the menu of defenders. Tap the one you want to deploy. Then just tap where on screen you want to send them. In many ways it is a frenetic tower defence game. But you can move the defenders around during play, which lends for some different tactical choices. We throw a lot of enemies on screen during play Hope this helps. If anyone who has played it would like to add anything please do.
I'm intrigued, especially as a cat lover. Maybe "summon" would be better than "spawn?" Trying to think of a cat-related term that might work...
Summon is definitely better than Spawn! But something cat related would be fun. We also considered going abstract with Beep or Boop.
Sorry for the lack of screen shots, it has been a busy time getting the game finished. We have just distributed a new beta for to everyone who has signed up. Hope you like it! Thank you for all your help and support.
