This would have made me jump up to 9, at that install size though I'll have to wait until I've played and deleted some stuff. Have purchased through the PC until then.
iOS 9+?!? Bummer. I was looking forward to this one, but if I upgrade to iOS 9, then I'd lose Monster Hunter, which nothing is worth that. I'm disappointed in State of Play Games for this choice. I'd rather be forced to use 2GB on any device if it would allow for iOS 8 as well. Guess I won't be getting this one unless they add iOS 8.0 support.
I wish we could get some sort of statement from State of Play about the app thinning. I've currently deleted the game off my phone in the hope that my internet loves me enough tonight to download this on my iPhone, but man...does this basically mean that if I have it downloaded on my phone, I can't sync it to PC and then transfer it to my iPad? Is that why we can't transfer purchases anymore in iTunes?
I haven't read trough this thread. Just popping in to say this is a must have iOS title. I can see the file size being an issue for some, and that bums me out... The text is a bit small on the iPhone 6, so iPad may be the way to go if you have one. I'll probably switch over to iPad this weekend. It's definitely not a quick-play type of game, more something you'll want to sit down with when you have a few hours to spend. Absolutely brilliant!
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel insanely great and beautiful. definitely my pick for game of this week.
I've been wondering the same thing about app thinning for a while now, it's a great idea but I don't see how you could back up a iPhone version for use on iPad or vice verca That said I love the fact this only uses 977mb on my iPad
So. Score I spend five bucks..how short is it, like will I be done in a couple hours? If so then no thanx
Nice to see a game out that doesn't alienate older devices, it works on an I pad and that's all I need to know. I think many developers are shooting themselves in the foot buy making games that only work on certain devices. The descriptions of system requirements for some games is confusing and laughable at best.
It tells you right there in the app description... "Lumino City has an estimated 8 - 10 hours of gameplay and no In-App Purchases."
I’m amazed at the size of the in-game manual. 900 fully illustrated pages. wow! There’s probably more work gone into the manual alone than some entire games.
A beautiful little point and click adventure game, I've written a review on my site (yes I'm a shill): http://simplifiedgaming.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/ios-highlight-lumino-city.html#more
I just finished Agent A with a perfect length of almost 4 hours (mediocre player, getting lost easily and fast). This game would be too long for me and i never would finish it, i know that. But i really wanted to support this game, alone for their effort to build that entire city out of cardboard and glue etc. Oh how i loved this little brilliant making of video...but ios 9 will come with my new iphone 6s early next year. Pity.
Upgraded to 9 specifically to play this and wow I'm not disappointed. So far I'd say the puzzles are relatively straightforward but they're done with such style and charm that it's really making me smile.
