Wow! I have a PSP but I have never played this game before. I figured I always loved Tetris so I took the plunge. Why a fantastic game! It's pretty intense! It actually makes me want to go get it for my PSP lol. I don't have any issue with the tap controls. They seem ok to me. Maybe later on I could see where it might get hard but I'm getting pretty far and I'm having no issue quickly turning and placing the blocks. I've also not had any crashes or slow downs. I love the music and art! Billy
Yes it's worth checking out on the PSP as I played it to death when it first came out on that. Made this an instant buy for me too and I have to agree with you I don't have any problems with the controls so far. I'm finding it an awesome version of this and finding myself playing it quite a lot.
This is the second best release on mobile this year to me. I can't stop playing it, and it controls really well, especially with hours of practice, I have gotten very precise in a small amount of time. Already beat all difficulties and unlocked all tracks, so I'm going for those high scores. Can't wait for the new album releases this month!
It's always shocking to me when people have a PSP, but never played this game. I thought that was *the* reason to buy a PSP in the first place!

Slowly getting better at this game (made it about halfway through Hard), but I feel like I need some tips. Anyone got any HOT TIPS?
Never played Lumines before, but I'm intrigued as I love Tetris. I've read that you need good set of headphones for the best experience - can anyone tell me if there's a big difference with the earbuds? Thanks.
Iv never played this game with headphones yet ...? Lol maybe I should try it, am I missing out on something beautiful ?
While it's certainly advised to wear headphones, it's only because the music is pretty good, and you'll miss out with no sound, or you won't hear the quality as much through the phone's speakers. That's it. It's not necessarily going to help you play, and if it's not your preferred style, it won't make a difference. And seriously, don't believe anyone who tells you you need "good" headphones for the best experience.
According to the JP site and Twitter, the free version and the Ultra Japan pack have been delayed because they're waiting for app approval. No additional information was given.
Free version is out on the german store LUMINES パズル&ミュージック NEO by mobcast inc. https://appsto.re/de/xenweb.i There are two additional small downloads after installing (game is 214mb), most of the UI and gameplay hints are not localized, but tutorial is understandable. If you don't know Lumines this is a good option to try the gameplay, i guess.
