The way I did it was
to freeze the monsters then make him get caught in their way as I followed him around the outside of the sword. I tried freezing him at least a dozen times until my mana ran out. But when that didn't work I figured I must be missing something.

    Initial Game thoughts

    @bsabiston -

A few initial takes on your game:

    1) At least for me, the game seemed to start slowly, and I had to force myself to stick with it. Glad I did - it's definitely growing on me. I appreciate the little tongue in cheek jokes scattered around, and the old-school references.

    2) I've finding it difficult to figure out where to go next or what to do. I find myself wandering around much of the time, hoping I can find enough monsters to kill so I can get their loot and afford to buy more food.

    3) The stealth portion IS tedious; thankfully, it's not a big deal to die when it goes wrong and restart right outside the castle. I'm also not a huge fan of the food management system, but that's on me; I just hate anything that limits my ability to explore the environment.

    4) I also have the glitch/bug that shows the Baby Dungeon Dungeon as not having been investigated, even though that was among the first things I did.

Two points: Can I get a hint? / BUY THIS GAME!

As they title suggests, if you are at all a fan of the RPG genre, buy this game. Really... It was clearly made by creative and smart appreciaters of the game type and this is a love-letter to everyone who played classic RPGs from the 80's and 90's. Even if you didn't grow up with the old Ultima games, if you like RPGs, my bet is you'll like this game... a lot!

    Anyway, here come the spoilers...

    So, I'm stuck.
I just escaped the airship (for the first time?). I grabbed the pendent and landed in the new continent that is mostly swamp. I'm without my canoe and I swear I've gone everywhere I can walk to and talked to every person in every town but can't seem to figure out what I should do next.

Anyone able to tell me what I'm missing? I'm sure it's something obvious since I've made it this far without needing outside assistance. : P

Thanks for any help you can provide and a BIG thanks to the developer(s) for making such an amazing diamond in the rough. Seriously, what a wonderful surprise.

Gah! Didn't realize how big the map was in one of the towns. I'm all set.
On a quazi related note, to the developer and those who have figured out how to traverse swamps:

Riding on alligator back is the most infuriating, tedious, hysterical, and entertaining mode of transportation I've come across in an RPG. I love hating it : )

@Alpha Strike Thanks for the feedback -- regarding progress, do you have any quests in the quest log? From the beginning, after the Baby Dungeon, it is a little open-ended. You would
either head down the SW coast to Yagni, where you'd probably pick up a quest, or head to the SE and up around to the castle, and another set of options.
. About the Baby Cave quest, is it really not marked as solved or does it just show up with a green tint? If it has a green DOT, it's solved. Your most recently solved quest also has a green tint across the whole thing.

@Archimedes It is meant to be funny temporarily but I know it eventually drives you crazy --
have you talked to everyone in the Lizard King's castle? I think it is a little girl there who can provide some help ...

My character's icon has just turned into a crocodile. I have no idea how this happened. I remember it being fine last time I played. The previous two saves still have my regular character if I load them.

The last quest I completed was mailing the last frog to Bob and then visiting Bob. I had then returned to my ship, saving the game on my boat or by my boat.

Then I started playing again today, and I'm a crocodile. Force quitting and restarting doesn't fix it. Nor does entering a town.

I've tried changing how the character looks in the Editor (I visited the Temple to get that perk) but it remains the crocodile still.

Did I miss something? Was some spell cast on me?

    This is now me:

One more thing - main quest now finished (I'm still a crocodile!) but how do I damage the guys in
Temple of the Moon and Temple of the Sea?

    The Moon Temple

I've just finished running through the game a third time and I think I've finally taken every alternate path, but I'm stuck on one thing at the very end. I've already beaten Yarak and I'm trying to beat the Moon Spirit. I can't touch her with any weapons or spells. What do I need to do to hit her? I tried various weapons, I tried keeping every gemstone I encountered in the game instead of selling them, and I even resorted to reading the copy of JR to lure her to sleep first.

Given Bob's sense of humor, I thought that using a copy of JR to make the spirit vulnerable was a distinct possibility. ;)

I'm stuck on the same. Have you managed to do any damage to the Sea Spirit? I'm also stuck there.

@Istara when you look at you "status" in the menu at top, what does it say?
Does it say "NEWT"? If you return all of the bunnies to the witch, she turns you into a newt. However, that is only supposed to last for a little while, and it sounds like you didn't do that and that it has lasted a lot longer. So I need to take a look at it. Maybe upload your game for me? (LOAD GAME->Copy->Send).

@hyperlinked and Istara, about the Sea Spirit and Moon Spirit.
I think these are the two that can only be beaten with special weapons. Talk to the bartender in Sulaco (I think? The town close to the spirit) about the Sea Spirit. For the Moon Spirit, doesn't it say something strange when you walk into the Tower?

    Status says "GOOD".

I can't recall if I visited the witch in person or not after the sixth bunny. However if I did, I definitely didn't get newted then, I only got a thank you and an offer of soup, which only poisons me. I also sent a seventh bunny some time after completing the six. Sending a game now, titled newtgame. This is the first save after the problem occurred. But it didn't occur while I was playing. It happened when I came back to the game after several hours of not playing. I loaded the save, and NEWT.

And yay and yay for the other
two temples. Now I get why they continued to sell that light saber! And conveniently I had a stapler to hand, since after going back on foot a gazillion times to retrieve the humidifier and typewriter etc, I anticipated someone might want the stapler!

Final thought: could the game let you know when you no longer need something, or offer a stash shelf? By the end of the game I was still carrying around the
Merlyn's poem, keycard, mannequin leg, Leg of Lamb (eventually I ate it), Dresden's note, Stoneseeker, copy of "JR". Could they have all been safely ditched or did I miss some people who may have wanted them?

    BRILLIANT game, by the way!

Gotcha, I knew that had to be significant, but I came up with far fetched solutions instead of the obvious one!
I thought maybe if I drew her down to the entrance and stood on top of the rock barrier I could kick the Moon Spirit with my staple reinforced boots.

Ok, well that leaves me with just one mystery object in the game...
The typewriter is the only object sold by that guy in Yagni that I never found a use for. Is there a use for it? Since it used to belong to Stephen King, If I bring it to Castle Sebastian before the King returns and type "All Work and No Play Makes Jack a Dull Boy," will two girls come out of the wall and attack me?
    :D

Wow, you were really hoarding. Actually I more or less did the same, but I've been through the game three times now and
my second time through I accidentally ditched a number of things because I was going so fast. It didn't make a difference once the items were used for their purposes. Merlyn's poem is only useful if you can't figure out where or what the Ice Orc is and you need the Oracle to translate the poem for you. At the Oracle's west window, she says she's only able to help you with poetry. That's a reference to Meryln's poem.

    Go to the town
with all those crazy annoying people, where you have to find Veruskha or whoever, the Whale town, and on the western side, near the edge of the map, there's some kid that wants to write a book or something. She/he wants the typewriter, and you get a food pouch bump for it.

    Thanks istara!
The Leg of Lamb you can eat, the poem and the note you can just ditch, the mannequin leg I think you can sell or ditch. "JR" has no use. The keycard you can return to the guy who lost it, and he gives you something, a food pouch increase maybe?
Are you still a newt? I am trying to get the Android version to compile but after that I will take a look at your save game and hopefully see why that happened.

Ah! Thank you! I never spotted that character before.

BTW, you got a mannequin leg (not the prosthetic leg?)? Where did that come from?

I'm stuck trying to get into the wizards club. I don't really know where to start if anyone can help. And is the sign in Yerba Buena supposed to follow you around? Haha.

Same issue here. Got the armor drop, but no credit. Guy back at starting town acknowledged it. Still not marked complete.
