    I know this is just a philosophical difference of opinion, and I know this is what you did in LL1, but the difference between the pixel art of the "game" parts and the vector menus and fonts takes me out of the experience. Consitency! Make me believe I'm playing an old game by keeping the resolution the same no matter what piece I'm interacting with.

    Hey Billy, thanks for the feedback. I'm sorry it annoyed you so much. You have a point about the minimaps, although I didn't think it was *that* bad. The guards all move in circles so if you creep up to each tower you are always behind a wall and can see where they are.

    But it doesn't need to be so hard -- maybe I will add a thing where the girl who tells you to use your minimap actually lights up all the parts on the map where the guards are.

    Here I am, knowing the deal with this part, willing to put in the effort, at least 20 reloads of the game so far for just this part. The problem is the LOS of the guards. It is definitely not a straight line. It's a winding, diagonal, serpentine bolt of lightning that literally turns corners. Why.

    Hey Billy -- it's a straight line, but in big-tile-pixel terms, unless there is a bug, which is certainly possible.
    I'm sorry, I didn't realize people would have such a hard time with it. I'll have to modify it one way or the other.

    For anyone struggling with this section, here is what I do. Run to the point just before each tower, there's always a corner close enough where the guard can't see you but you can tell when he passes close. Bump into the wall a few times so that by the time you walk out, he's on the other side of the circle. Follow him around and make for the next out-of-the-way spot.

    Edit: I'm beign too salty about this whole thing, so I'm sorry for that. I appreciate your work in general and I'm looking forward to the rest of the game.

    I found that if you walk around the castle perimeter and fill out as much of the mini map as you can, it makes the stealth section much easier. Doing this allows you to see the guards from a distance (using the mini map).

    Then you just follow them in the same direction around the tower until you can break off.. (trying to make a break for it without following them doesn't really give you enough time)

    Anyone know where the A and H dungeons are in the swamp zone? I can't seem to find them or find a way to get my alligator to the other side.

    Baby dungeon incomplete

    I left the baby dungeon without beating the skeleton -- I was low on life. Going back in the baby skeleton does not appear again. Any way to solve it?

    Hey lex I'm not sure - can you upload your game so I can take a look? (Load Game -> Copy -> Send from the title screen)

    You don't have to beat that quest to progress, so it shouldn't affect the rest of the game. But it sounds like a bug I need to fix...

    Not a straight line, I believe the los check is occurring at players previous position or something.

    Dev: there is no need to nerf the difficulty or do a bug fix, just "de-aggro" the guards when line of sight is broken until they lose interest and then have them head back to their starting position. That would make for some interesting cat-n-mouse gameplay, less frustrating, and perhaps, even fun.

    Also, if your going to allow AI to move/attack diagonally, the player should be afforded the same capability, even if it is an earned or leveled skill.

    Glad you found them Cahayla!

    About the line of sight issue - yes it's probably something to do with the turn-based steps in combination with the LOS calculation. Like after you take your step, the line can be calculated from where the guards are before or after they take their next step. Personally it's always seemed pretty linear to me, but I'll take a look at it and see if there's a way to improve it.

    And the diagonal monster movement always seems unfair to people, but fans of Ultima know that's how it was in that world, and it's something I've chosen to keep. I always just saw it as the monsters having a leg up on you - their perk for being monsters:)

    I have the same issue. Heard the conversation, went to get the item for the ne tower guard, came back and a section of the bridge is missing. Have been running around for hours trying to work out what to do next.

    Docc and anyone else with this issue - I'm sorry about that bug. A fix has been submitted, but you'll need to upload your game and email me so I can patch your save for you. Use the Contact Developer button in the Options screen.

    Docc it looks like someone named "Rhelen" uploaded a stuck game at about the time you posted -- if that was you, just email me and I can send you the code for your fixed game save.

    I am stucked with the mime cavern.. i reached level 15 maxing armour and weapon (wand 2) without being able to solve the mime trick. I did try almost everything (plain run with no sign readings, one sign reading, both, going back to entrance)... i hate to do this, but could you give me some more hints (i already read the previous one with no luck). Thanks!

    PS: after i spoke with the king and the bridge collapsed, one giant managed somehow to escape, he is free on the map but i could trap him with mountains so he didnt kill me. I suppose it happened when i entered Shebastian town just after the bridge collapsed and i relogged the game immediatly.. I hope it helps!

    That thing with the bridge reappearing and the guard escaping is a bug, I hope to fix that today. One person managed to kill him by poisoning him and then waiting while he was trapped behind something :)

    About the Ice Mime -- do you mean you can't get through? Are you blocked by the wall of ice? Hmm maybe you have something that could help with that...
