    Good news: seen it! Thanks
    Bad news: can’t reach it!

Looks like I need to be able to cross the swamp to reach it, have tried every other square and can’t take more than one step into swamp!

    You mean
using FERIK to calm the gator? That does make it easier but you can still ride an uncalmed gator, it's just a little frustrating...

    Glad you got it though!

Having some trouble near the end.

I have the stoneseeker, and had been flying around collecting spellstones. I have 48/50, but there are no more flashing points on the map (aside from vehicles and huts). Are the last two inside towns or dungeons and I missed them previously?

    Edit:
I guess I should have thought about why those huts were flashing. The 20+-years-ago me that played games like this on the apple II would be so ashamed.

    :) So you found them?

   .
Yep. Bob's two huts were flashing. Most every location I would walk a perimeter to make sure not to miss anything, but for those two, the areas were so small that I didn't do it when I visited, and bc no reason to return there, I didn't think about it until right after I posted.

    Great game, thanks!

Wait so you did figure it out, or you can't get traction?
I forget which one is Moon. I think it's the one that has a clue when you walk into the temple...

Cant get traction - had success with
    spells
at Stars and Sun, but not Moon

something about ‘staples’? Also is there a 4th temple?

Right - that's a clue that you need
    the stapler
    to defeat him/her.
It's for sale in Yagni Market with the other junk

Yes I think there is a
fourth temple. Sun, Moon, Stars and Sea. It's there somewhere.

Lowerlander has coasted to a dead stop on Costaguano. I'm trapped in that cash-grind tailspin of heal/food/poisoned, magnified by being too broke (because of food/heal) to upgrade weapons/armor. Altamira dungeons A and H are nowhere to be found and I'm map-bound on an island that I didn't want to visit to begin with. This island has changed the game from "I can't wait to see what's next" to "God I hope I can leave here soon." The toxic swamp mechanism was cute at first but now is just tedious.

    Zuzax,

Sorry to hear that -- like the island it's named for in Conrad's Nostromo, Costaguano can be a difficult place.
Caves A and H are the tricky ones. You need
to spend more time in Verdigris It also wouldn't hurt to visit the bar in Castle Willow Weep. And hopefully you know the FERIK trick for the gators ... ?

    Thanks, I'll check them out.

Also, does weapon type/level factor into your To-Hit chance?

The to-hit chance is affected mostly by your agility, which is related to your level, versus the monster's agility. The type of weapon doesn't have as much to do with your chance to hit.

    Help With Last Nightshade

To the developer, thanks for creating such a wonderful game. I can't remember getting so hooked by a game for ages. So excellent! Will buy your next game in a flash. Looking forward to playing Lowlander once I complete this.

I'm stuck tying to get the
eighth nightshade. I know where all the caves are, including the two that are hidden. I think I'm missing the nightshade from Cave G that is a giant checkerboard of swamp and dirt tiles. There appears to be a nightshade at 13, 31 but I can't access it because it's surrounded by swamp.
Please help. Many thanks in advance.

There’s always at least one enemy left in that cave..

    Help With Last Nightshade (Solved)

I worked it out. There was one useful enemy I hadn't considered using.

I've been eyeing these for awhile now and bit the bullet after getting a strong hankering for some portrait oriented one-hand action.

Good God -- I was killed by a surprise boss monster, starved three times, entered a dark cave and was killed, and was killed in the field after being worn down all within my first 30 minutes of playing.

This game is hardcore! At least the first one. I haven't played Lowerlander yet, but I bought them both just so they'd be next to each other in my purchase history and also I wanted to support the dev, whose activity in the TA community has been impressive. :)

    Observatorium Closure

    I didn't find
    Yerba Buena
until after the Observatorium was closed and therefore was never able to access the
    Wizard's Club inside
. Does this mean I cannot solve one of the
    four wizard challenges
    and therefore cannot obtain the
    super wand (forgot the name)
    prize for doing that?
For the same reason, I cannot talk to
    Chauncey's father either
. Are either of these fatal to finishing the game? Just wondering if I need to restart.
Am loving this game. Thanks again to the developer for creating it.
