Yeah this is where I'm stuck too. Got the boat explored a huge amount, found many dungeons none of which I can get into....

Started getting thorough - ask around in towns and soon you'll get hints

I did it ! Managed to get over 30 gold and get to a town (by luck) to buy some food.

I do wish the health/weakness attribute wasnt there though, be nice to just explore and die on hit points (rather than being tired). Thought in the original Ultima you could press a key to 'pitch up a tent' and get some energy back ?

Personally think with a tricky game like this it would be great to get rid of the 'tiredness' factor

Maybe it's just me but it would be nice if the towns were more identifiable in the maps. At least the towns you have already visited.

I don't have any problems with the difficulty level. Games used to be hard and it also took awhile to grind them out. If you completed them you felt like you really accomplished something.

I agree games back then were super hard, but you never had energy like you this in say Ultima IV.

Also theres a point where you think do i make it authentic/genuine like the old games as that will put some people off. If a hardcore few buy this game that wont do us any good for a sequel, if lots more buy it and arent put off with the difficulty then we all win.

Problem is with so many other games on peoples devices its so easy to think 'ahhhh damn i'll move on' to one of my other 200 installed games if frustration gets high

@eksaint and @dunsany You guys want a hint? Make sure you talk to everyone in Castle Pynchon.

@psj3809 and others I'm sorry you are having a tough time with it! It really should not be that hard once you know where Yeorke is. Here is how to get through the first part -- this shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes:

    1) Talk to the King and get the sword
    2) Fight your way down to Yeorke and talk to Randy (in the fortune teller booth)
    3) Fight your way back to the King, who will give you leather armor.
    4) Fight your way back to Yeorke, and keep fighting/earning near there til your HP is low.
    5) You should have enough to buy a heal potion or heal at Obamacare.
    6) Go out and fight until food runs low, then buy food.
    7) At that point, you just need to get stronger until you are ready to take on the dungeon across the way. Fight, buy health potion, repeat. You can also dip into the dungeon to get more monsters, but then you have to buy a torch.

If you have bad luck in battles, you might have a bad run, but that should be the exception.

Upgrading your sword to a sharp sword makes a huge difference.

Thanks for the hint, at Castle Pynchon myself. Found it unfruitful to attack vault guards.

I'm screwed. Poisoned with out enough health to make it to a store. Time to start over.

When you die you should be able to restore your last save, provided it's safe status, so shouldn't have to start over. Certainly always a good idea to have a few antidotes on hand. I invested more level up points in luck because it rewards with more treasure chest finds netting more potions and antidotes.

Not sure if you have any mana potions or mana points let but the cure spell can work wonders if impossible for you to use heal spell to restore up. Also, I don't think poison is infinite - I think it just runs for a number of turns then cures [not 100% but recall poison turned off for me].

Don't cry for me, I'm already dead.

Thanks for your suggestions but I flew a little to close to the sun without a lifeline. :( I'll use your suggestions for my next go around. :)

Antipathy produces an ingot but isn't one listed by the King; is that a mistake or a clue I'm overlooking?

Well, there are four dungeons with ingots -- Antipathy is one of them. Isn't it listed by the King? Maybe he's not listing it because you have it now.

The king still lists 4 dungeons: Animosity, Odium, Abhorrence, and Execration. Is there a secret 5th one? Obtaining "Antipathy" ingot does not change his text at all from first contacf.

Oops that is a bug I guess! One of those dungeons got a name change. I don't think you are missing anything, it's just that you need to get all four ingots.

Edit: Yes I checked and Antipathy = Animosity :)

Epic twist in the Antipathy dungeon too; it threw me off for a bit.

Maybe I need a hint on the
    dwarf boots
    ... but then again, maybe I don't - they're close, I can feel it.
