Yeah -- but just bug fixes. There's some bugs that got fixed while making the Mac desktop version that never made it back to iOS. And this week a guy let me know that Spoiler if you walk into Chopterix, board the Skylark, but then walk out of Chopterix instead of flying out, you lose the Skylark and it doesn't come back! :0 Also there was a bad map-crashing bug that would sometimes happen. Hopefully this update fixes those and some other small things. In the sequel, you won't be able to go back in and re-loot dungeons. I'm thinking of updating Lowlander so that you can't do that either -- I didn't think people would have the patience to do each dungeon more than once, but apparently a lot of people do. That probably makes the later game way too easy IMO. Anybody disagree and think I should leave it the way it is? Cause I could do that too.
Dude no way!!!!! You gotta make the dungeons repeatedly lootable If you don't make all the dungeons relootable and least one of them needs to be! And it should be close to the beginning so that you can hear up!
Yeah, I liked the relootable dungeons. The game was tough at the beginning, even with them. And sometimes it's fun to return to a once-difficult dungeon later in the game, demolish everything, and claim the spoils. The first time through games, I do usually just play "normally." But upon replay, it can be fun to get overpowered and stomp everything. If anything, I'd say add optional, high-level super-bosses at the ends of re-visited dungeons. Or just do whatever you want. I'll honestly be grateful for whatever we get! The original is so great. I'm replaying it again -- and have made some of the same dumb-but-fun mistakes I did the first time (like entering a town when poisoned and out of mana and antidotes, so I've autosaved in an unwinnable state).
Yeah, I might just save the "improvements" for the sequel and leave the original alone. Regarding poisoned saves, do you know that there's an option in the options to restore your "previous" save? I need to make that more evident because it happens to a lot of people and they don't realize that all isn't necessarily lost when that happens ...
Yeah, I finally got that! For some reason I'd interpreted previous as "most recent (i.e., previous to this point in time)" and not "previous to most recent save." Even though I'm on my second go-through, I think I'm stuck. Spoiler In Theeves Den, I just talked to everyone about the armor, Wilbur says that he thinks the Nessie heard him talk about eating a guy, and now he asks if I think I can kill it. But the Nessie won't approach me at the water's edge. I thought it came over to me, so I could attack it at this point, but maybe I'm remembering wrong and still need to do something? If by some chance it's a bug -- and not user error -- I'm on iOS, version 1.1.3.
Hey flyover, Yes, I'm very sorry -- this is a bug that I think was introduced with the recent update. I'm not sure if it affects everyone or just some devices. However, someone notified me about it a few days ago and I submitted an update on Saturday. I'm afraid you won't be able to continue until that update comes out. App review times are averaging 4-5 days right now, so hopefully you won't have to wait more than a day or two!
Nice! Thanks so much for continuing your work on this. Creating is hard enough, but maintaining can be a real pain.
It did solve that bug! Unfortunately, now I can't clear the Spoiler "Return to Queen Fagen with SKYLARK" quest. I do so, but she just says she can't do anything more to help me, and the quest stays in the log. Spoiler I flipped all the switches anyway, but Azamon remains invulnerable.
I'm sorry yeah that 1.1.4 update did have that problem. I had to issue an emergency update 1.1.5 yesterday! For anyone playing through now it shouldn't be a problem, but if you are already stuck then do this: Spoiler First make sure you get 1.1.5 from iTunes. Then go back to Chopterix and you should be able to get another Skylark. Use that one to go visit the Queen. Let me know if this doesn't fix it for you.
Ha! I have not been here in awhile. Early player.....look at the threads you may remember me. If you get rid of the repeat dungeon loots especially the one at the very beginning it kinda misses the point of some of the cool parts to the game. Remember Ultima 2 and that 1 town where you could Thieve the gold from over the counter, leave real quick to avoid the guards and then rinse and repeat... Mad cash to be had to get you rolling. All the games had something like that to find....Easter eggs
Antipathy ingot bug? Hi I have all four ingots But the antipathy one is still listed as needed Go to king and he just tells me to carry on I think I got the antipathy ingot prior to being officially assigned that quest (1) do I need to get it again? (2) where is the dungeon its in Thanks all!!!
@Jalgayer what does the king say exactly? Where does it say you still need antipathy -- in the Quest Log? If you have all four metals, it may just be a bug with the Quest log, in which case you don't need to worry about it. It wouldn't impede your progress. Bob
Bob King just says something about hearing about all my good deeds ... In the quest log three ingots are faded out (completed) and the antipathy is active (but I have it) Should I just go to bob? I think that's next ... And what do I do with the switches?
Which King are you talking to? Have you talked to Pynchon, the one who sends you to find the ingots? What does he say?
Hey Was at wrong King Went to Pynchon... Got the zorsmuck sword and dragon armor and the Quartz... Fighting Azamon but it keeps saying "invulnerable" What am I missing.... Thanks so much for the super quick replies -- and awesome game bro
Thanks! You got the Quartz? You use that to get the airship...then return to Queen Fagen with the ship. Did you do that yet?
She's in the 2nd castle, the one on the Southwest continent. I think her castle should be labeled on the map.
