There must be a reason there are towers blocked by mountains. There must be a reason there is a force field in the game......I am in a holding pattern right now at 12 hours.
Yo Gord I sent you a PM, did you get it? Sounds like you might need to Spoiler visit Anaka, a city over on an island west of the Queen's Castle. Talk to everyone there and see if that doesn't get you moving.
I did not get the PM. Maybe my issue. I will look into it. Thanks for the reply. After playing some Ultima 2,3,4,5 today i realized you hit a homerun. Keep it simple but upscale in the future and keep it Ultima 2 simple. 1). No multiple characters. 2). No seperate battle areas for each battle. This started with Ultima 3 let's not repeat this. 3). No 'jobs' 'name' etc for talking but if you do do not make it a chore with large long dialog for each NPC. 4). Once again, I think you hit a homerun with this one and the future is endless. 5). I may be full of shit with opinions though. Great job hands down for what you have created!
Thanks man. Some of those decisions were practical, like you can't expect people to type as part of the NPC interactions when it's on a mobile phone. Also not having done a game like this before I did not feel ready or capable of building and balancing a full weapons/magic tree for multiple party members. And if I wasn't going to do that then I didn't need or want a separate fight screen. In Ultima3/4 that makes it a deeper game but it also slows things down a lot, all that fighting. I liked how Ultima II was simpler and more about discovery.
I have no shame. I did not write down all the info. I talked to Bob in the cave and forgot what he said. Where do I find it before going to the queen with it. The sky is falling.
Yes. I had everything I needed. Late night! 1). I do hope you make some coin on this. May be slow going though.... 2). Fantastic game. If only EA or even Lord British(Richard Garriot) understood this we would have 4 or 5 of these games on android and IOS. How great would that be! Keep up the good work.
Won! That last bit was hard as I lost focus. Epic amounts of fun finishing...with no flat footballs in sight! Errrr....a little bit of of help I guess.....I hit 14 hours with mistakes...could have been 12.
Finished, great game, nice work! It really captures the feeling of the early Ultima games. The only thing to make it better would be a way to get a cloth map
Does anyone know the approximate coordinates or Swansboro? I've discovered a bunch of towns and really don't want to just start going to them one by one. Thanks! Might be a nice feature to have town and castle names labeled on the map.
First off, great game. Unfortunately though I just ran into a nasty game-breaking bug. I'd already visited the Theeves' Den before learning about the reason to actually be there, and the exit from the rock maze which appears when you leave the den doesn't persist across saves. So when I came back for the proper reason, the exit didn't appear and I can't get back through the dungeon as the door is locked. Casting Wisk in the dungeon brings me back to the Theeves' Den side of the maze, and my last save is from just outside the den entrance. Fancy sword, fancy armour, unable to go anywhere.. help!
