      I am running iOS 7.

      Ever since iOS 8 came out I have had tons of issues....stuff crashes, won't open... Runs slow. I have virus protection, and it doesn't appear I have any... So what is the deal?

      You have virus protection on iOS?

      There are no viruses on iOS.

      I run Lookout....

      And what I meant was, is it possible that some of the programs that have been updated for iOS 8, that I updated.... could they have messed with my version of iOS?

      No, but I have had similar problems in the past with other iOS updates. I don't update apps just for the new ios anymore, until I actually get the new ios. It isn't you ios, it's the app upgraded for the new ios that is the problem.
