Hmm, the dexterity element is basically changing colour or shooting a colour at the right time. Movement is at a fixed pace, and your only input is the colour of the ball, and when to shoot colours (starting from chapter 3). So the timing isn't tooooo important but later on in crowded levels some things have to be done fairly quickly. Most of the time, though, if you look at a level and plan your solution it isn't a big issue. But it's definitely there.
Great job, Teptmi Games. The videos were very helpful. Thanks, TheGreatEscaper. Your description complements well with my impression from watching the videos posted by Teptmi Games. The game's core mechanics (especially with the color switching) remind me somewhat of Ichi from Stolen Couch Games. I will check out the game at the next available opportunity (as soon as I am done playing with my current game).
I also took the plunge and just played three levels and saw some of the videos here. Is there a reason that this is not a one-touch game? I mean, all you do is switch between black and white right? I'm getting confused by having to use two different zones for one action "change color" The presentation is really well done! Looking forward to having GC! I will post more imps after having played more levels. Similar games (for those who like this type of game): Portaball - TA forum Ichi - TA forum
If you play more, you'll know some more unique things in Lostim. And, you'll know 'Lostim' is really different from the two games you said. Waiting for more feedbacks from you.
Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I figured there will be more to Wilson then meets the eye in the first levels of the game. I hope to play more soon and give feedback, but it might take some days as I'm not having that much time to play (at all) these days.
I saw some of my friends like y2kmp3 and Saosijs and The Great Escaper if I may call him my friend ha ha playing this game so I gave it a go and it's to my liking, Gamecenter would have been great but more devs leave that out don't know why but OK it is what it is. y2kmp3 said it had some similaritys with Ichi and that's right, Ichi was made by Dutch developers, now I would not say all Dutch people are great but OK all Dutch people are great ha ha.
I'm honoured You may and hopefully I can do likewise! I just finished the game. The last half of the game is full of very clever puzzles. The ending was nice but a bit out of the blue. All in all it was a very fun puzzle/dexterity game. It was quite tricky! I feel happy to have completed it. You've made a nice game here with cool concepts. I'm a bit sad that the blue wall mechanic wasn't revisited, that was my favorite mechanic. Regardless, I'll definitely be checking out the games you make in the future!
We're so happy we can give people experience like this. That means a lot to us. Thank you, TheGreatEscaper.
