Bought. Give me all your premium wares, so that I may smite the bad IAP evil that permeates the App Store hallways, corridors, vestibules, nooks, crannies, and bedrooms. Also, this makes the wait for Forgotten Memories that much more easier... Although, this looks pretty damn good. Also, hallelujah for 128 gig iPhones!
Post your thoughts once you played it for a while. Forgotten Memories is going to have to be good to beat what I've played of this so far. Also worth noting is how long this game is: I've been playing for about 4 hours and am not even 40% through it.
So what's the scare factor in this? Is it like "ooo creepy" or is it like Dead Space 1/Amnesia level?
??? I'd say dead space and amnesia are different types of scary, let's say the first Dead Space, that was absolutely terrifying.
JCho, are you asking if the game is more action with scary setting and monsters (dead space) or puzzle and story focused in scary setting (amnesia)? Or are you asking if it's more jump-scares vs psychological terror? This definitely seems more like amnesia, from what I've been able to see. I don't think you're supposed to ever engage enemies unless you mess up or you just can't avoid them. And the flashbacks definitely serve to confuse the player.
Maybe grouping together 2 games with such different play styles was a bad idea I mean will this make me shit my pants (like Outlast or Amnesia), or is it just an adventure game with a sorta creepy atmosphere (more like Hellraid: The Escape)
agree with harrywarden here, this game is giving me a goosebumps couples of time when trying to escape from inhabitants. the scare factor here that makes this game different from other survival horror games is Spoiler you can't kill the enemy, you can only outrun them, stunned them with a teaser gun, walked silently besides the ghost and keep silent without making any noise that can attract the ghost, you can also create a bait(making noises) to open your way to another room . thats what i think the main scare factor in this game.
i got headache when using the joystick button, almost threw up myself when playing for more than 10minutes. this is because the sensitivity when you slide the joystick to far from the inner circle, the screen become zoom out and when you release the button it zoom in back to normal view. tap to move still the best option for me here.
Gonna have to go ahead and give this game the Russiaone Seal of Approval. Played this one a bit at night in bed with the lights off and the experience was fantastic. Even this morning over a cup of coffee the creepy factor is exquisite. Wish the lighting was better, but everything else shines. (Pun intended) Far as controls, I like to use the stick/tap combo. I also love the Shutter Island vibe this gives me.
Is this game scary at all? I guess the selling point of this game is just its scare factor, otherwise not much point playing it. Not at all impressed by the trailer. Really bad voice acting and super cliche dialogue. Then again I didn't really find any of the Dead Space scary at all due to having weapons. I did however find Outlast scary, one of the few games that actually makes me hesitate to move.
Alteady finished? How much in hours? Replay value? Uncompressed Filesize? It's been a pretty intense week,IMPLOSION,WWE 2k,HALO,and lot of beta-testing games..i want smash The download Buttom, but i wait some more impression..
Well i took the plunge and bought this just off the back of the fact that i loved amnesia on pc. I can safely say that this game oozes quality, the graphics arent really stretching my 6 plus but the atmosphere, voice work and sound effects are stellar. Amazon obviously wanted to show they are geared up to make decent games which has really surprised me. It is free movement, either tap to walk or virtual stick, and if you tilt your phone to the left and right you lean round corners. I dont know about longevity but there are collectibles and game centre achievements. Im taking my time with it and its scaring the pants off me!
