You also get points for freeing your buddies from the cages. About the coins, my experience has been the same. The fact that I need to retry levels many times, and that you don't lose coins when you die, mean that I always have way more than enough coins to buy any items or upgrade as soon as they unlock. So for me, the motivation for collecting coins is mainly just for the challenge.
Thank you for your feedback. Choosing run speed and direction as an invariable option is a crucial point of our gameplay, game design and FX design. 1) Constant speed keeps you in the flow. The fact that you can't stop, or stay away from enemies allows us to operate with player's attention and conentration with a great precision. 2) It allows us to plan difficulty. Player just can't play it really carefully. He has to rush and to overcome obstacles. 3) You probably have noticed A LOT of scripted events in our game. And you see that events in time. And they appear on the right place on the screen. Player won't ever miss how the huge part of the ground breaks appart. Player won't just wait for enemies to fly away. Despite of that, there is a lot from platformer in our game. There are three types of movement: jump(with controllable height), hovering and slice. Actually, there is a fourth, for the pro's Spoiler you can hover for a longer time if you press hover, wait for the character to start hovering, release hover button and fast press it again. And repeat that untill you hit the ground . And player can combine them. PLus there are some paths, where you have to clear your way in; jump spots; floating platforms, on which you can jump higher if you jump at the right time; buttons and gears that can move objects around; there are moving platfroms; falling platforms. And oh yes, there are roaps. All that stuf is designed to tell you: despite the fact that you run to the right, IT IS A PLATFORMER.
I have problems with a challenge. The text says (more or less) "complete level 1-5 after performing the shuriken combo 7 times". However, the counter next to the description is only 0/5, and it's not incrementing after every shuriken combo performed in the level. Also, even after completing 1-5 with 7 shuriken, I still haven't the challenge checked. What have I to do? What am I doing wrong?
I have the same problem with the "complete level 1-5 after performing the deadly chain combo 5 times"-challenge. Also, maybe I'm just stupid, but even though I sometimes get this combo it's not clear to me what I had done to get it, so I can not deliberately repeat it. Anyone who cares to give me a description/explanation?
Try to perform deadly chain combo. Seems like we made a mistake in description. Please reply after trying!
Just hit an enemy with your light weapon (wisp, bustler, serpent, volcano, shredder) and kill it with heavy one (gorilla, striker, doom, disruptor, hurricane). If you want to check other combos description go to map screen and press button with fist icon on it. Or you can find this button in pause menu as well.
Well, I've three starred every level and beat the boss, I don't think I've got the stamina for gold medals on every level. Great game, I had a blast!
Is it really possible to complete level 3-1 without make/take hurts? There are too many nibbles and lava! :O
That sounds really tough! I'm going to try a few times myself. I think I'm going to go for all gold medals after all....after "beating" the game a few days ago, I already miss playing. Really my kind of fun.
