I read that and appreciate that But will that also help those of us who are quite far in the game already? I finished 3-6 and as I feared, at when starting 3-7 I get the message that my weapon is not powerful enough. But I'm still SO FAR from unlocking the Shredder (I think I'm one point before unlocking Mettle at the moment). So, if the update makes it so that stars unlock more of the progress bar, that will really help new players, but it will not really help me, because I already finished all the relatively easy levels with 3 stars, or at least 2. At the moment, I'm hoping that I'll be able to unlock Mettle and that that will help me earn some medals so that maybe I can unlock the Shredder anyway. If anyone can suggest the easiest high score medals to get after 2-5, that would be helpful.
I definitely agree that being able to reset progress to play through the game again is a useful feature. However, given how easy it is to accidentally touch something on a touch screen, it definitely needs a confirmation dialogue, which explains what's about to be done and gives the user a chance to cancel.
Mettle will be the game changer for you. I think there was only 1-10 that I've came 50 points shy of the crown dropping doom everywhere. I've always gotten the stars and the crowns as I go. I do not move forward until I complete the level. The second I put a foot wrong, I immediately restart the level. I rlly wish I had a tally of how many restarts and times I've attempted levels. I have over 800,000 coins and everything that I have is maxed out. Lol Also, the difficulty spikes and ebbs inexplicably on different levels. There was a level back in the 2s that took me for damn ever to get the stars. Pain staking stuff indeed. I was determined and consumed with rage!!!!
I endorse this statement! 100%. Love this game, my current favorite! But after my 'delete progress' fiasco, I may wait until the next update to dive back in.. (If I can wait that long)
Yup, long hard road. Super sucks, but the update probably won't arrive until 2nd wk of April by the sounds of it. I bet you'll start chipping away at it.
Oops my bad for the menu buttons! It seems that I have been pressing them wrongly all this time. You must hold it a little big longer figured that is why I was always going to the world map I had a problem with the game crashing when I opened up the video from the intro. I figured it was just a memory problem and hard restarted my ipad and voila! Guess they reallywere serios it only runs on ipad4 onwards. Also, I have already gotten to the boss level! Well that was fast, I still havn't completed it since I'm worn out just from getting from not unlocking disruptor all the way haha. Its more of an endurance type of level so you need to be focused for extended periods, that is all I'm going to say for now about the boss level As so to my journey towards there goes, damn! The later levels where you will be needing the shredder (maxed out I should say) are soooo good! Its like a different beast of level design compared to the rest, it made be a believer how this is not yor typical mobile game. This is a gamer's game! Would probably finish off the boss the next day, but I figured the game is not that long as other suggest, maybe it varies skill wise. Would definitely want additional worlds and levels once I'm finished. What a game! Had soooo fun on the world 3 stages because of its challenge. EDIT: Just finished the game, and even unlocked the hurricane. Glad I finished the game before they made it easier. It actually rewards skillful players. Now I have nothing to do but to wait for updates and more content and levels! There are so many world possibilities to add.
I cannot find how to get to the 3rd cage in level 2.6. I can see that it is down on the floor below the moving elevator but the elevator moves up and blocks the only access to that floor. I am a completionist so please help
You need to destroy the gear, which will prevent the elevator from moving up. But the way you destroy the gear is tricky. You need to shoot the reflectors just before the elevator section, which will reflect your shots backwards to the gear. Here's a screenshot, where you can see the reflectors, and the gear you need to destroy is just visible in the lower left behind the jump button.
Any idea how to get 3rd star on 2-7? It seems theres a place where i can go down further after the 1st star but cant figure out how to activate it to get to that lower lvl.
Well, GTA is a game with textured 3d objects. So it is relatively cheap. We have a lot of 2d character animations and deaths and so on. There is no way to achieve the same result in 3d on mobile platforms (for example, death by dissolving in acid). So yes, it literaly does cost every byte of it
I assume you figured out you need to blow up the ice shortly after the first cage to go down. Spoiler Once you go down, just after the crates there's a red box on the ceiling that you have to jump and hit with hit with your head to raise the floor ahead.
ahh i saw the red box & tried shooting it but didnt realize I had to hit it. Thx! Just needed to clear out left over stars in order to get upgrades to pass 2-10 and golem
OK, while I always really appreciated the polish, Lost Socks has really got its hooks into me now. About halfway through world 2, and I've three-starred everything and got all crowns bar 1-10. Maddening!
