That makes sense to me. I had the same concern about using the trigger for firing, but included the option because I thought people might like it. But now that you mention it I think that allowing Dash to be controlled by the trigger is more useful, since it would allow controlling dash and firing simultaneously.
okkkkkk here is how it goes for anyone interested how to get the crown in 2-6. Spoiler As nerfgames said in 2-6 level you have to use doom go always from the upper root and use doom as many times as you can. I will be a little more specific. Because of the fact that doom throws bombs as you walk the upper path some bombs fall down to the lower levels (unreachable with any other weapon except hurricane that i have not unlocked) breaking some objects and giving you points. Especially at the first part when you jump from column to column. That till now is the ONLY way to get the crown in this level. Weird fact: Level 2-6 is the level i achieved the pre-last achievement perform all 11 combos in one level.
My vote for GOTY. Almost have shredder. Imo, if difficulty or formula is tampered with the games inherent appeal would be compromised. Never thought I could be so savagely addicted to an auto runner.
I made it to 2-10 (!) The game has opened up so much in world 2, it's really amazing. The level design is among the best I have ever played, the different routes still surprise me, sometimes I'm discovering a whole new level part after replaying a level a ton of times. I like that there’s a puzzle element to the levels too. It's fascinating to me that some people don't like the game because of the scripted nature of it. That's what I love about it, it feels lovingly handcrafted and I never feel that my deaths are cheap. But (sorry). I do agree with the review that it's not that much fun to reach a continue wall. When starting 2-10 the game warns me that my main weapon is underpowered. So, I replay a few stages, get supercoins and 3 stars on them and reach a new progress bar checkpoint. And get an upgrade that gives me more coins (that I can never ever spend). Okay, no problem, I think, and play some more, until the next progress bar point. And I get an upgrade that enhances my luck. So, I soldier on, getting to another checkpoint which only unlocked the next gate, still no new weapon (in hindsight that should have been clear). I already have finished all levels with 2 or 3 stars, I have 13 supercoins/medals, and to get that, I already replayed all levels many times, so what's left are levels/stars/medals that are very difficult for me to get. Carter was right: you pretty much have to be perfect (in the sense of collecting almost all stars and medals) in order to continue, I can't really see that any other way. I can see the argument that replaying is necessary in order to gain more skills to survive the later levels, and I do like the replaying, because some levels become completely different with better weapons and it’s fun to discover the different routes, and in general the game is a lot of fun to play, but still, I wish you would unlock the weapon that the game says you need just a bit sooner, without having to be absolutely perfect on the previous levels. (Now, to be fair, this happens to me a lot, I have had the exact same “wow, no, what do you mean I can’t play the next world, I have to replay old levels to earn coins and medals to unlock access?!” in many games. But still, usually those games are quite a bit more forgiving in this regard than this game.)
How do you go thru 1-4 without getting more than 2 coins? I've been stuck on that one. Not that I need the coins........
I am still on the fence about buying this one.. Is this 'hard' in a Geometry Dash sort of way? ..or unforgiving similar to Downwell? I do enjoy these two mentioned titles (I love Geometry Dash).. But admit to being a bit timid in regard to the openly 'hardcore' aspect of Lost Socks.
This game is so damn satisfying. Easily an instabuy for anyone thinking about it. The difficulty is great and only adds to the reward of accomplishing goals. Once you've played a lot the jumping and different shooting/dash buttons literally become second nature. Unlocking the weapons and power ups are easily afforded. When you play levels over to master them you always keep your coins if you run the level out and don't restart. I have so many coins that it's ridic. Feels so rewarding to tear shyt up. Epic to the Nth.
Beat the game with every accomplishment and medal... except for two; I cannot get a crown on level 3-4 and I'm convinced it's impossible. The most points I've gotten is 3400. Is this going to be addressed in an update or is there a method I'm missing here? BTW, I really want a sequel to this. My love for the game is insatiable!
Well, as far as I know, it is totaly possible to get a crown/medal on 3-4. And to double-check I jost got it. Twice With maxed-out shredder and disruptor. You probably should have already found out that you gain points for killing nibbles and destroying things. Lava is also a thing and destroying it will also give you points. Cheers!
Hello Lena! We are so happy that you liked our game! I have the answer to your concerns. Before game release we were assumed that players will act in one specific way. But now (after analizing statistics) we completly admit that we were wrong. We will change game balance so progressing through the game levels will be easier for you.
In very start of the level you must hear the click. Just spam your dash like a devil after this event.

I've completed all the coin quests, stars and crowns except for the aforementioned crown on 3-4 and the expert achievement for killing every kind of nibble... for some reason it shows I've only killed 4 out of 5.
Speaking of hitzones, one small flaw with the touch controls, at least on my iPad, is that the pause button is often hard to trigger, maybe because the hit box is too small. Often when I go to hit Pause because I want to restart, I have to hit the pause button several times before it responds. Also, I'm curious why the action buttons are in a different order on the iPhone than the iPad. On my iPad the Dash button is the bottom button, but on the iPhone the Dash button is in the middle. Both configurations are fine, but it's a little confusing when switching between devices. I mostly game on my iPad so it doesn't really matter to me, but I can imagine for people who switch devices it might be annoying.
