Not true - if they rate at which you accumulate currency to buy these upgrades is reasonable - then it's not F2P. If it requires huge amounts of a grind and there is a difficulty spike that encourages that you pay real cash instead of that grind, that's F2P. So it's all down to the balancing. Btw, I finally passed 1-8 after I think like 50 attempts and then passed 1-9 on my first attempt and with 3 stars as well. So the difficulty curve might not be perfect - unless that's on purpose, to give us a breather after a difficult level.
Can we seriously stop mentioning F2P in this thread? If a game is not free to play then it's not free to play regardless of whether there is or isn't any grinding involved in getting in-game currency. I'm really sorry man, but by your logic, all the Final Fantasy games are F2P because they involve grinding to level your character up. Also, I'm really starting to think you're not aware of the fact that there are no IAPs in Lost Socks.
thats great to know, this game screams for the mfi support since day one. it will be awesome to play it on the big screen with mfi. please make it hurry dev
Oh man, so many games start with no IAP and then turn into F2P monsters down the road. Surely you've witnessed one or two in the AppStore before! And like I said, it's all about the balance.
Our game designer could answer on that one, and maybe he will. But anyway we are NOT going to be F2P. Our team consists of f2p haters. And yes, we have some easy levels so that you have time to chill out a bit. (Or to feel that you are good at playing, depending on your skill)
Every car that has ended it's life in a flaming fireball of doom started out in pristine condition at a factory somewhere. Should we expect every car on the road to be doomed to crash and burn? I get that you're passionate and all, but can we really please cool it with this unproductive discussion? (You too, MC)
Absolutely. Now that we have an official statement from the developer, the F2P discussion ends once and for all. Alright?
In a bit late - but seriously, this game knocked me out yesterday! Never heard of it before. And now I lost half a workday trying to master this absolutely lovely game! Never before have a mobile game consumed me in this manner. (Well...perhaps Xcom and Downwell are runnerups.) Stop slithering about the forums and start blast nibbles as a sock. The EXITEMENT! (I'm 35 years old...)
I'm sadly way beyond 40 but it's like I was warped back in the glorious days where games were pure unadulterated fun, even if you just saw a single pixel that was a dragon, or a starship, or a world... Just here the pixel you see it's like a Disney movie.
One bug if you could resolve it: when someone calls and you are playing, when you return, the audio is off. You have restart it. I have ios 8 by the way. Thanks.
Thanks for reporting! I'm already working on that one personnaly) I already know that it is because IOS doesn't automatically return sound context.
My first reaction: A game. Where you play as a sock. That kills "nibbles"? What is this? Now I understand it all! It's a scenario picked from real life! Every once a week, socks do dissapear - somewhere between the washingmachine and my drawer. Lost SO MANY SOCKS during the years! I guess I know the answer now - where they all end up...
