Just for fun I tried Lost Sock on the big TV screen via AirPlay mirroring. While not really playable without a controller because you have to see the buttons.....it's absolutely GORGEOUS. Some friends were at my place and they all thought it was from a PS4.
This is so overwhelmingly inappropriate. A ton of people like a game very much, YOU happen not to like that game, and the only way you can explain this is that "everyone must be sheep!" That is so ####ing insulting. And that's AFTER completely disrespecting the developer in your first post talking about how the game is low quality and high priced. I question if you even played this game based on your comments about it taking too long to reload and calling the weapon unlocking grindy. And finally, trying to say that the level design isn't as good as the Rayman games? That boggles my mind. I've played every Rayman game to death, and they've gotten progressively worse over the years. Jungle Run was fantastic and is easily the best in the series with the most well-designed levels. This game blows that game's level designs so far out of the water they're in orbit. I mean it's not even close. I'd like to say that this sort of thing is subjective, like not caring for the art or thinking the game is too difficult, but even just a basic understanding of level design should be adequate to appreciate how well-designed Lost Socks is. I mean it's like someone saying your kid's macaroni picture on the fridge is a more creative piece of art than the Mona Lisa. And this is coming from someone who is a HUGE fan of the Rayman runners, even the newer not-so-great ones. I'm just literally beside myself about your comments, and a lot of it leads me to think you're just trying to ruffle feathers by having the dissenting opinion about this game without actually having played it, or if you have, not playing even close to far enough to understand it well enough to critique it the way you have or compare it to the games the way you did. It's fascinating, and it happens over and over and over again for years now, but people love to freak out and get mad about free to play games on a daily basis and then whenever an actual premium game comes out LO AND BEHOLD they find all these weird nitpick reasons NOT to buy it. It'd be funny if it wasn't so sad.

I mostly play games on iOS nowadays, the harder the better! I'll keep an eye on the thread and based on the reviews of the regulars, it is fairly likely that I'll support a dedicated and respected developer. Anyway, congrats on your success, it seems like you deserved it! Pedroapan

I lost my save game. Has anyone else had this happen? And now I can't start the game. The message comes up to choose a level to start playing but I can't. It freezes on that screen.
Well, it isn't so much for me. I'm at level 1-8 and the difficulty is getting to be masochistic. It's pretty much memorizing the level and having to do it as near perfect as possible. For people who enjoy these type of games, they'll have a blast. Presentation is indeed top notch. And it seems F2P fears of upgrade shenanigans do not apply here which is cool. But the gameplay - too frustrating for me.
Same for me. Visuals 5/5 Sound 3/5 Controls 2/5 So I guess a 3/5? Touch controls work against you too many times to be considered a fun game rather than a frustrating one.
I find it hilarious when people think upgrading your character, or even customization, is equal to f2p. It's one of the biggest pluses in any game, free or premium. Anyway, looking forward to playing this... Just had to laugh at that. Oh; and people giving a one star rating to a game that is fine for what it is at the least, but since they don't enjoy it, it gets the same rating a game that is broken, glitchy and unplayable would get. Oh well; the masses vote for justice in the end. Even if I hate a game, if it's well made I'd give it a three or so...
Totally agree. People nowadays are too strick and always complain about everything. This game deserves to be one of the best for ios despite the fact that will not be for everyone. Don't users see the positive things anymore? Only negatives? Great animation for example? Nice graphics and presentation? Fitting music? Maybe it's difficult for some but then again some people like in this way. It is more challenging. Don't be so stiff.
Wow I'm not liking this game five levels in. The controls are cramped, and the enemy patterns are so scripted. I thought the gameplay would be a little more freeform. I'll keep going and see if it clicks. But the presentation is absolutely fantastic. I love the animation when you hop into the dryer #
This is a fantastic game! Complaints are from people who wouldn't like this game regardless of anything. Upgradeshas always been in games. It's what pushes progression. Nowadays everybody wants everything from the start so having to earn & level-up your character is a nuisance. As far as controls, they are perfect. The complaints are from those who hate touch controls. Sure, a button is better but you cannot make the controls better for this game than the devs already have. The point of these threads is to discuss things that may help with future updates or find bugs. Once hundreds (hopefully way more) of people play the game things come up, people have great ideas the devs may not have thought of & can improve/add things. To say this game isn't worth 4.99 is ridiculous. People have their opinions & I respect that but even when you don't like a game you should be able to see quality. Instead this game could have been free, with ads & astronomically huge amounts of coins to upgrade stuff so you feel like you never will & spend more money. This is a beautiful game made by people who like games, not apps. To all the haters, go have fun waiting 8 hours to open your reward in Clash Royale & we will all enjoy money well spent!
Well, I hate to play devil's advocate here, but different people will have different opinions, and we've got to respect that. Of course, that doesn't excuse some of the behavior we see around here, but you can usually tell that most of it comes from very immature people or kids. It's just part of the Internet we love, and we've got to live with it. As attention-seekers go, ignore them and they'll go away. Other than that, I feel all criticism is welcome, this is a forum after all, and as long people are polite about it, they have the right to speak their minds. Either way, im having a blast with this one, you can really tell it is a labour of love. I can't help but play this with a smile, even after a thousand deaths. Great job, Nerf Games, and please, keep them coming.

Always nice to find a new developer who is super talented and has an impressive debut title. Hope the iCloud functionality comes soon but choosing to enjoy it on my iPad Pro first and foremost.
