The new card swipe and inverted filter features are a major improvement. Work really well. However the missing retina assets that I reported for the iPhone Plus models weren't updated. Still blurry just like before the update.
I updated a bunch of assets (all of the dungeon backgrounds, for instance) and tested with my new iPhone 7 Plus, so I'm not sure what you are seeing that's different from what I am seeing.
I just posted a couple of pictures to the Facebook page snapped right from my iPhone 7 Plus: Lost Portal FB page
The ones I reported last month: The small icons for example for Deck, Town and Status are still blurry, while the Exit is sharp. The brown and black stone backgrounds are very blurry. Honestly the dungeon backgrounds that you say are updated I see no difference either. I'm currently on Rienta's Tower in this campaign and although the tiles and card backs are sharp and crisp the background image of the tower is really blurry and that's very noticeable. I'm not exactly sure how you can't see it but I don't know how to explain it better except that it's pretty visible.
Actually the dungeon backgrounds that show on a pop-up window before entering the dungeon are very sharp, those do appear retina (although the surrounding brown border is blurry), itÂ’s just when I enter the dungeon that the background turns blurry. Also forgot to mention the "Sell All" button in store as blurry as well. Now sure how to help you more except for these descriptions. :/
I just uploaded a couple of screen grabs from Rienta's Tower on my iPhone 7 Plus onto Facebook. Perhaps you can look at those and compare to your own screen. They look pretty good to me, yet you are saying you see no improvement, so not sure what is going on. I didn't update the buttons, but I'm looking at them now along with the frames you mentioned.
Thanks for the uploads. The backgrounds from Rienta's Tower do appear blurry to me on Facebook as well. Not sure what's going on, maybe your intention is for them to look that way? I don't know this is odd. For example compare those images to the sharp artwork from the cards or even to the sharp dungeon background on the map pop-up, there's a huge difference.
Thanks for the update mate. Absolutely LOVE IT!!!! I can finally go nuts with my decks and play until my fingers are sore to the bone.
So is the post main quest a randomized dungeon or is that still something you're working on for a future update?
This is post-main quest. There is a portal that you find that you can go through as much as you want and each time you go through, it picks a random location (currently only two, the Ruins of Aryn and the forest of Soltaria). Those locations have one or more randomly selected dungeons around them with randomly selected levels and randomly selected enemies and bosses. Once you leave back through the portal to Coradym, you can activate the portal again and explore some more. The dungeons are populated with harder versions of all of the enemies and bosses, so hopefully they provide you a challenge.
Can you seriously have a look at Volarin? That is the most overpowered unit I've ever ever encountered. He has all silvers and golds, so many buffs with high stats, high health, rolls all the right cards (this game is starting to not feel random), and constantly fills the board with cards. I believe he has 3-4 copies of many good cards and spams them. He was able to summon a 6 rank card on his second turn. I've noticed on average by the second turn he usually has the board completely filed with creatures or at least one 6 cost unit that's hidden so i can't kill it with anything. Oddly nearly every time he plays a high level unit it has poison and hidden. Then if I'm winning, he uses the wipe board spell and then next turn he just puts down a bunch of new gold creatures. I summon a high level he has a summon cancelling card. He has every counter on hand at every given time. I also looked at his stat points and he has a lot more than i do even though I've killed every enemy up to this point. Every time i lose to him i lose about 300 - 500 coin. And think about this. Two hours of playtime got me 1000 coin even with the extra card drop buff. How is that even close to fair? I've spent over an hour fighting him and I've beaten every other enemy for the past 4-5 hours with not too much difficulty. So that's a ridiculous skill jump. And i can't "get better" because I've lost all my money to him and there's no grinding in this game. Fought him now about 30+ times and even more after posting this. He's making up for the majority of my losses on my w/l ratio.
Volarin is a boss near the final town of the main campaign. He is nasty, no doubt about it, as are the other bosses in the dungeons around Coradym. He has some great card draw, disruption, plays two colors and has big, tough creatures. He has high stats so his odds of getting his abilities to activate are high (same as for you, if you have a high ability). By the way he doesn't have more than 2 of any card except his Avatar card, but he does have a few creatures that generate a card on cast, so it can feel that way (especially when he casts Shadow Army on one of them). He also has more uncommons/commons then rare/ultra-rare cards. Regardless, his deck can really go crazy and is hard to stop. I will take a close look at him, however. I just played him about 6 times with a green deck with 6 rares/ultra-rares and won twice, so he's not unbeatable. But it wasn't easy and several losses were very lopsided as he went off and filled the board and I had no way to clear it. As I said, I will play him some more and take a close look. Gold losses are random based on the value of the cards that you would have lost from your deck if you had been playing on hard or extreme difficulty. So it isn't fair, its random. The more high value cards in your deck, the more likely you'll lose more gold. To lose 300-500 gold, that had to be an ultra-rare card you would have lost. My advice when playing below hard difficulty is to try not to sell cards for gold until you need the gold, as once you reach 0 gold there is no penalty for losing. I definitely have it on the wish list for an ability to grind at lower levels. Perhaps you can tweak you deck with cards you already own; make sure you have some board control and some good card draw. I frequently splash Logic Storm in other color decks, for example, just to draw more cards cheaply. Sorry you are having such a difficult time with this guy!
I believe if you delete any app you will lose all user data for that app, so yes, your saved game files would be lost.
That guy can be a pain. Sometimes it is just pure bad luck. I've beaten him to the point where he was just losing cards because he wasn't getting any mana. Happens. I've lost the same way too: no mana, losing cards, was done by round 4. Pray to RNGeezus and try again.
Just wanted to say thanks! Just played the endgame content today. It's great! Have not run into any bugs, difficulty issues or noticeable blurry images- but I'm not that perceptive.
Can we please get ordering cards by casting cost in the next update? Really miss that feature when it comes to planning and organizing decks.
