Thanks for that feedback! I'll take a look at green and see if something needs to be tweaked for its starter deck.
Thanks for your continued support of the game, lordfoul! I can understand people wanting multiplayer but I'm personally glad you are focusing on single player. A good single player ccg experience is almost impossible to find these days, lost portal is pretty much it.
That's a clever and innovative way to expand the game! I'm learning programming myself these days, so I guess I more or less understand the possible challenges ahead. Wish you financial success (besides love from who play the game that you've already seen) so that you can go on making games that you love.
There are problems with touch detection on air 2, e.g.: - when I press a button, it there is no reaction first time or two - when I play creature\card at the duel it's hard to pull card to playing field (where creatures are)- as if I'm putting card in some wrong place, away from the field. Also, when creating character, there's advice - "to know more about stats press their buttons" or something like that. Pressing stats buttons gives no tooltips about them.
Sorry to hear you are having issues. What version of iOS are you running on your iPad Air 2? I'm testing right now with an iPad Air 2 (iOS version 9.3.2) and iPad Mini (iOS version 8.3) and not seeing the issues you describe.
re: green deck balance, currently near the finish of the main quest playing green- I do think it is the weakest deck to start but not so bad that it needs extensive rebalancing. Maybe replace a bog troll with a toxic drake.
I'd say at the start, vs starting red\black enemies green really is the weakest. Then goe the black and red decks.
I think I have a change that will improve dragging of cards on older/slower devices. I'll test some more and get it into the next update.
I will look at tweaking the green starter deck, as I do agree it is a little weaker starting off. Perhaps swapping one or two cards will be enough.
Hmm, apparently the Gatekeeper ability I've took recently always summons a 1/3 Green creature - and that's rather strange for I play with black deck and from description I've supposed that summoned creature would be from my deck or at least of my current deck color. BTW, how do I play with multicolour deck, like Black\Blue? Does anyone have any advices where to start? Is it only viable if most deck aeons are multicolour? BTW2, in MtG multicolour was waaaay easier beacuse of most cards requirements like "1 coloured mana and 2 any".
As Armadi said, it gives you a low cost / common creature that is randomly pulled from a list. Keep playing and you should see other creatures besides the Doramal. Yes, it is much easier to play a multicolor deck in MTG, given the way costs are with colorless mana. There are a number of ways to do it in Lost Portal, but it does get easier as you level up and gain more dual aeon cards - Wisdom - higher wisdom gives you additional starting aeons which are great for helping with multicolor decks and for casting gray cards that have no color 4:1 Aeon exchange - this recently added mechanic allows an automatic exchange of 4 aeons of one color to another color when casting. This is useful for splashing other colors in your deck, particularly low casting cost spells/creatures.
Yeah, the Aeon exchange rule really helps a lot to a multicolor deck, besides having multicolor Aeons in your deck.
Hi, LordFoul, what's the cost of the avatar card "burning denial"? I thought it's 3 red OR 3 blue, but I noticed that it didn't always activated when I had said cost. Is it actually 3 red AND 3 blue?
Yes, 2-color cards require both colors, i.e., 3 red and 3 blue. Much like gold cards are all colors and require all four colors.
BTW - I do like the idea of two-color cards that could use either color (maybe any combo of the two colors) - that would be pretty powerful/flexible.
Then it's too slow for my current deck I guess. And yeah, cards with alternative cost will be powerful, but may be it's hard to design, since there are colorless cards who offer similar flexibility already. Btw, I notice that there are quite some cards with abilities whose target cannot be chosen manually, like "returning the top creature in your discard pile to the battlefield" doesn't allow me to choose which slot I want to place the creature in. It'll be more fun if the player can have control over these things IMO.
