I'll take a look at those button presses, and thanks for all the other comments/suggestions. Regarding the difficulty choices, I want to at least provide a better presentation (i.e., adding a text box below them that describes the selected choice). Yeah, I've sent promo codes, but no reviews as of yet. Unfortunately, without that exposure sales tail off drastically. Perhaps after the next update.
Just an update for anyone following this thread. I've been working on some new cards for the next update. Some pretty powerful Avatar cards for the bosses to wield, including some two-color cards. I have some new artwork for some new locations/dungeons that you'll be able to explore. Still a lot to do, but some progress. I've temporarily lowered the price of the game on the App Store, so anyone on the fence, now might be a good time to jump in.
Jump, people, jump - I can highly recommend it at full price, so discounted is a must buy if you enjoy CCG's.
No. No, it does not. It's the best offline CCG on IOS. And WHY NO REVIEWS?!?!?!?! Almost feel like picketing outside the T.A. Skyscraper, except it's a website and that'd probably result in Eli taking out a restraining order on me for lurking outside his house in the middle of suburbia. Anyway, get this everyone!
Him, there.....that.....what he said.....yes! Couldn't agree more. Come on TA, if you can review Dungeons of Chaos (excellent game I might add!) from a devoted hobby developer, then surely it's only fair to extend the same courtesy to other budding programmers? And considering the love shown for Magic, Hearthstone, Sol Forge and many others of a similar genre by reviewers on this site, surely you guys would be perfectly suited to put together a balanced and objective review? Unless of course you're too scared..... .....I know, childish goading is a cheap shot but it's the best I could come up with at short notice!
So I took the plunge because of the price drop and... it's amazing. I've had a blast with it so far Thanks so much for making a card game that's actually readable on a 5s sized phone! A few suggestions and quirks though (and sorry if these have been mentioned before)... - iCloud saves? - being able to swipe left and right through cards in your hand or on the playfield, like you can swipe through cards in the store - I'm a fairly experienced card game player but I've found the game to be pretty tough on normal. I'm not complaining # But it could be a turnoff for some. - I hit a bug where the first round was my enemy being given 333 damage and then me being backed out of the match to the dungeon to fight again - no way to save mid-match and back out to the menu?
Is there a recent gameplay video of the game? I was actually just curious if there were sound effects and such when you are doing the card battling. I don't like playing mobile action card games and it sounds almost mute. And then if anyone knows the final install size that would be great!
I have one short gameplay video up on YouTube, not exactly recent though. You can see it off the website here: http://lostportalccg.com There is music and sound effects. Many of the cards have different casting / attack / damage sounds.
Glad to hear you are enjoying the game! I first started working on the game on an iPhone 4 sized screen and being able to read it on a small screen was important to me. It is on the to-do list, but no timeline for when it might be supported. You should be able to swipe left and right for the cards in your hand. Not currently supported for creatures in play, but it is on the to-do list. I just tested it for cards in hand on a 5s and 6, and still seems to work. That is a new one I have not heard about. Let me know if you see it again. Sorry, no support for mid-match saves at this point. You can concede the match by pressing the white flag button above the enemy, but obviously that will count as a loss and you will lose gold/cards depending on the difficulty level.

I first apologize for my bad English. I like your game. I'm glad it's not just another F2P. It's great that the game is still getting better. I hope that more will grow new card. I do not mind at all, if will be paid as once distribution.
Totally new to ccg and pleased that this is not f2p with an independent developer who constantly updates the game... Amazing! I read the manual and gave been able to be fairy competitive in easy mode by just trial and error... Although I still haven't defeated anyone I feel competitive... What in confused at is how the numbers work from the cards. I get my player and enemy life number. I understand the upper left is the number of aeon I need to play it but is the bottom left the attack and the bottom right the defense? Also, does choosing the color border at the beginning black, red, green, blue make a difference as a total newbie any color I should select that could help beginners...? Any advice, or videos to help would be appreciated!
@imdakine1 Welcome and hope you stick with it. On creatures, the bottom left is the creature's attack value and the bottom right is its life. Unlike a game like Magic the Gathering, creatures don't restore life at the start of each turn, although the "regenerate" ability allows a creature to heal each turn. Each color choice gives you a different starting deck and a starting aeon (i.e., mana, energy) in that color to start each duel. All four colors have powerful cards, but I think blue or black might be a bit easier to start with, although I've tried to balance things as best I can. I have some information similar to the in-game manual on the website, at http://www.lostportalccg.com, and feel free to keep asking questions here, I'll be happy to answer them. I am considering adding some random tips to the title screen as another way to help explain the game, as I know it has a steep learning curve. For example, "Disruption spells automatically cast from you hand when your opponent casts a matching spell."
Thanks for replying! Can you also explain the pile on the far right. I guess it is the discard pile. I also noticed that some attacks go direct to my life and not ever placed on the board?
