Holy shit, huge install 2.96 gb. Here we go! David1953 Well-Known Member May 26, 2013 476 40 28 #3 David1953, Nov 11, 2015 I've been waiting a long time for this one, and I just finished downloading it. A couple of notes. 1. To get voices, one needs to download a voice pack, a 100 mb download. 2. The purchase price includes the prologue and chapter 1. However, the remaining chapters are being offered as a "no cost" IAP, and the zero cost is a limited time offer. 3. My install size, with all chapters downloaded as well as the English voice pack, is 3.2 gb. Dailon80 Well-Known Member Nov 10, 2014 3,574 66 48 Program Director/Radio DJ Eos #4 Dailon80, Nov 11, 2015 I was ready to get it but the size will be a big issue for me. Please Apple get app thinning going or offer a way to plug in a jump drive or something this is so stupid. I have had to pass on a few games lately cuz of space and that's hurts the devs in the end all because Apple can't make a way to add gigs this is 2015 not 1915 get with it. All aspects of app thinning is available to developers since late September. Raise the cost of admission and just give everything in one go. I hate this IAP stuff. pka4916 Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2009 2,584 0 36 Male Wisconsin #10 pka4916, Nov 12, 2015 Didn't you read? 2. Some people are still against any sort of IAP in their games. 2009 mentality, basically. I'm just hoping it's enthralling enough to not just move in to my device and not pay room and board. Cause if I'm renting out 3.2gb of real estate I'm definitely gonna want to collect on that. AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #15 AppUnwrapper, Nov 12, 2015 This might have to do with the way Apple handles IAP. If the game ever gets removed from the App Store and you don't already have it installed with the IAP unlocked, you're screwed. There's no way to restore purchases from games that have been removed from the App Store. I used to be 100% fine with IAP to unlock content until I came across that problem with a game. drmad Well-Known Member Jun 2, 2013 716 2 18 Indonesia #16 drmad, Nov 12, 2015 Yep like what happened with ghost trick.... AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #17 AppUnwrapper, Nov 12, 2015 And Sacred Odyssey for me. I can never play that game again because I had the IAP version. This is also the strangest monetization I've heard of. If they wanted to make the price cheaper for early buyers, why not just increase the price later? Just so bizarre to do it this way. Who would want only half of a story-driven game anyway? pka4916 Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2009 2,584 0 36 Male Wisconsin #18 pka4916, Nov 12, 2015 ooh you cant unlock them all at the beginning? I really hope that at some point I will start playing because watching a very long (and quite boring) movie, isn't really my type of game. I thought it will be more like Grim Fandango or at least Syberia in terms of puzzles, but so far IMO is a lot of talking and very little playing Edit: Everything got better and better; the puzzles are more than ok after a while, not very hard which is fine, and the story is great also.
