Don't get too overwhelmed by the look of the enemies you have to deal with. They won't all move in on you immediately. Your first objective should be to secure the southern properties and whittle down the southeast flank. Once you've done that, feel free to take the time to build up your forces with the south saloon and steamworks. The next thing that will happen is the western and eastern flanks will most likely wipe out your allies and begin to move in on you. I think I got lucky and some of Nadia's units survived. It's all down to luck with the AI. Just hang back in the south and let them come to you while building up your force. Once you feel adequately armed, lure out the middle flank and slowly start capturing their properties so they can't spawn more. Then you're ready for the north. All in all, it looks imposing but if you've got a high levelled legend and spawn units that play to their individual strengths you should come out fine. Just take your time and don't rush it. You can always come back later for the stars you missed.
I'm also not sure if the boosts are working. I'm also uncertain whether a boost for a particular class of character applies when using a legend of another class? A graphical change in the players would also allow one to understand when the upgrade is in effect. Keeping the numbers at 100 is also less satisfying than seeing an increase in my characters HP. P.S. I am addicted to this game! It's awesome.
The RNG of this game is really starting to piss me off. RNG works for Fire Emblem because there are timers, you can take your time to move VERY slowly, luring enemies one by one. You can't do that in this game at all thanks to the annoying "finish level in 10 turns" limit or the fact all enemies rush at you starting from turn 1. I've lost track of how many times when an enemy has 50HP, and my character did 49dmg to it, when the damage range is like 49-60. Seriously WTF? It's things like that that means either you win or lose. I swear there's some mechanic that increases likelihood of rolling a low damage number whenever you're close to finishing off an enemy. Playing this game is like: Playing chess and you automatically lose if you lose a single piece Playing Fire Emblem without the ability to level up and trying to beat the final level with level 1 units Playing Advance Wars on highest difficulty with a turn limit restriction I've also come to conclude that some of the stars are pretty much impossible until you grind your level WAY up and unlock some of the so called bonuses.
Yeah I usually try to build an army in the south of the map, but as soon as Nadia's and Clive's forces are all down, they just rush me and overwhelm me. What do you think are the best units to buy to build a strong army in this level ?
It's all a matter of watching what the enemy has/builds. I will say that biplanes are a must over gatling guns for taking out their air force. Cannons are also helpful in taking out the center group once you lure them into the canyon south of them. Posses are also a definite in taking out their humans and cleaning up near death units. Slayers are a must as well. Same with engineers. Don't neglect your doctors and chuck wagons either as they are vital for your humans. Don't be afraid to fall back and you can lure their ranged units out in the open. Always be checking the danger zone of ranged units so you don't place anything valuable in there. If you need to, you can use some units as bait like snake oil men, doctors, and even chuck wagons. If you think a ghoul may kill you with its counterattack, just leave it be and let it waste its next turn killing you instead.
I'm still new to this game but if some scenarios or levels require you to complete things by a certain amount of times I'm likely going to gave the same feeling that this will limit the freedom to play our own style of strategy.
It's unclear what the HP as a percentage (i.e. everything is 100) adds other than confusion. There is no way to compare the relative strength of units. For instance how much tougher is a posse than a gunslinger? -shrug- Add in different legendary bonuses and I'm just guessing who to use where. Some type of listing of all the strengths/weaknesses mentioned in the unit intros would be nice too.
Do I really have to click the hamburger menu and End Turn every time? Am I missing something? Seems cumbersome
F$%& level 16! Arghhhh! I can't figure out what I should do. I guess building a path straight up to all the structures is the way to go but I don't have enough firepower to hold off the forces from the west and south after that. Level 15 is tough but I managed to figure it out after trying a few different strats. You basically send a caravan and strong unit to the east, same to the west. Try to have them block the passages but keep back enough so the zombies get stuck behind standard units. Knock the standard units health down to a point where you can heal your units enough each round to just soak up the damage each round. Your units can't keep zombies bottled up, they hit too hard. Send everything else to the north (including one doctor). The cannon is very important. Also don't go as far as the bridge or the enemies cannons and gatling gun will come down with everything else and shred you. Keep capturing buildings the whole time (as much as you can before engaging) and before long you'll have beaten the forces to the east and west without any losses, have some money, a place to build units and only the cannons, plane and some other stuff north to deal with. It's easy from there. Build a bunch of cannons and use a horse unit to coax the enemy out. Smack them with cannons when they come at you.
Yup, because.... "Can we get a confirm option on ending our turn? I keep bumping it accidentally and screwing up an otherwise perfect run."
Hi MikaMobile # Thanks once again for a fantastic title, your team are definitely one of the elite programmers out there. I'd just like to know if there are any suggestions here that you are thinking about including in a future update? There are 3 that stand out for me: Changing the HP system away from the 100 to a more traditional one where the HP increases. Having the range grid available for a character that's already been used in that turn An aura around a character under effect from snake oil.
get Wilcox to lv 34. (move and shoot same turn) also apply the same choke technique at the small wall above u where u can blast open. I used my cannon n snipers + Wilcox to take out the bottom right enemies 1st. when the TOP enemies start to take over the white buildings, start your counter Attack but watch the 2 necromancer Attack range. again snipe them with Wilcox
