I avoided LOST like it was the plague. Recently I got H1N1 and had to stay in bed for a week. Needless to say I watched all 5 seasons of LOST that week and now I'm hopelessly addicted and can't wait till season 6.

Anyway. Has anyone tried creating a LOST character in Fallout 3 and seeing how it plays out?

I created Ben Linus last night. Put all my skill into intellegence/charisma and have only been pumping speech up. So far he's 3x richer than any of my other chars at the same stage in the game and seems to get exactly what he wants. It's pretty fun so far.

    Has anyone else tried this?

Most of the DLC sucks anyway, the only one really worth buying is Broken Steel for the raised level cap, but even that isn't amazing... all the new perks are terrible.

Mothership Zeta is alright if you want some unique loot.

    You forgot about Point LookOut.

Point Lookout is .......well......full of redneck zombies....
    yeah...its not worth it

Do any of them add decent explorable areas?

Mothership Zeta adds a mothership... in space... but it crashes and then you can't go back. If you missed any loot on it (and there's a lot, probably more than you can carry) then tough.

The Pitt adds a small town, the quest isn't very long and it wasn't very well received by the fans.

And as Foozelz said Point Lookout adds a swamp area... it's not terrible, you get to explore a bit. Doesn't perform well on the PS3 version though, lots of freezing... dunno about the others.

Yeah I reallly wanted the PS3 edition since I have a big ass HD TV but I heard it had tons of bugs. ANyway, I play on my PC with an xbox 360 controller, works like a charm.

The bugs aren't too bad, I followed the Fallout wiki to inform me of any bugs in quests I was doing, and it seemed to list a fair amount of them for the 360 and PC versions as well. They usually involved doing something pretty specific so they were easy to avoid. I've got both the 360 and PS3 versions but only finished the PS3 version.

most PC glitches are worked out by the community :) most glitches seem to reside in the 360 version

You might as well get the whole pack 'cause it's good value for money, much cheaper than buying them all separately.

Not for Lost, but I've shamelessly reproduced other characters from fiction in the Fallout world before, especially in the originals. It's gotten much easier with the robust model editors showing up in character generation these days. :)
