If you want it or not. So, do as you are commanded, naughty brat. The satisfying dungeon crawler is here! "Oh no, an incoming call!" no real time decisions, you can safely interrupt the game at any point. "So late already?" no need to exit the game, a real world clock can be switched on optionally. "What? I AM DEAD?" No permadeath, this is no rogue-clone. You can load/save at any time, or return to safety without losing all your money or equipped items. "Damn! I died and I forgot to save!" The game is autosaved every level, don't panic. "If I only could teach those damn rats what I've learned..." You can come back to your old friends and show them your uber gear. "Nice game, but my smartphone is over 5 years old..." The game runs well on older devices, happy playing! "Where can I buy money?" Nowhere. This game is OFFLINE and there is NO Pay-To-Win mechanism. Quoad Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2015 1,108 217 63 #9 Quoad, Jan 17, 2019 There's no video on the app store I'm seeing either on my phone or on my desktop, and the description (as it stands) only really tells me that this is a dungeon crawler. All of the rest of the info is about the meta-processes - it's offline, pay once, etc. Which is great. But doesn't tell me anything at all about the game. icetear Well-Known Member Oct 24, 2010 116 5 18 Bielefeld, Germany http://www.silversword-rpg.com #10 icetear, Jan 17, 2019 Sorry, you are right, the video is only visible on the google PlayStore right now. But let’s say I enter a room with a skeleton. 9 times out of 10 he kills me. But when I kill him I can save and then move on. That kind of kill a bit of the fun for me. That skeleton by the way is very early in the game. I just don’t know how I could possibly beat a strong enemy like this so early in the game. As all these games are « dice » rng. It brings me a lot of frustartion. On the other hand, the graphics, music, dialogue and humour are all really great. Will put a bit more time in it. I am on level 14 of the initial dungeon. I’ve found the need to save-reload is essential based on the RNG balance. Without save function, difficulty would be nearly impossible. I also found that once you exceed 5 or so save slots, the load ui doesn’t allow you to scroll to the 6th slot to reload, perhaps it varies by device, I’m on iPhone 8. Also, there seems to be about 5x as many chests as there are key drops. You can buy keys in the throne room but seems like gold drop rate would never allow you to open all chests. A related question: you can return to the throne room every 5 levels, am I missing the stairs that would allow me to return to that point without starting over? Aside from these minor frustrations , very enjoyable. Well done. sonarun Member Sep 12, 2013 5 0 1 #18 sonarun, Jan 18, 2019 Interesting game. I found that there are some definite balance issues and the RNG can be a nightmare. The crit rate of the monsters are way too high and they can end you very very fast. You can definitely run up to a hard wall every 5 levels where the monsters out number and gun you quickly. Saving often is a must and saving before descending can get you a better roll on the dungeon layout. I keep 2 saves other than the auto save. A 5 level save right near the jump back to the surface and a save for the current level. Just in case it gets too difficult. bboc New Member Jul 12, 2013 1 0 1 #19 bboc, Jan 19, 2019 I think that is a misconception regarding the mechanics of the game, I don't think that is the way it's meant to be played. I sometimes reload an autosave, but I never saved the game. Remember this is set in hell, so you cannot "die", when you run out of Hit Points you are given the chance to start over, i.e. you are teleported back to the throne room, and get to keep the XP, gold and items you equipped, and you get full HP and food and a new torch. Since there is 3 dungeons accessible form the start, you can level up by working through the simplest dungeon (the rat's cave IMHO) and going as deep as you can get and then start over when you "die". Invest a bit in luck when you level up so that you get better item drops (including more keys for the chests) and avoid the traps, and as soon as you can make it to level 5 you can get back out and obtain a scroll of evac, to you teleport out (expensive), or a lantern, which gives you greater range for the sling. gust0208 Member Dec 14, 2011 20 0 1 #20 gust0208, Jan 19, 2019 Any more beginner tips? I feel like I am really close to getting in to this game, but also still unsure exactly what I am doing. I heard mention of a sling, but have not seen this yet. And any way of finding more keys would be greatly appreciated! (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
