I have windows, but I hate it, lol. I am using Safari rather than Internet Explorer, which is probably a good sign of my heart crying out for a Mac. I'll probably get one as soon as I can afford it, lol.
No one here would know I'm on Windows if they weren't constantly praising Macs superiority all the time
HOLY CRAP U SUCK i HAT3 YOU SO MUCH R1GHT NOW!!! Hey, you asked for it. Since I've had almost no contact with a Mac, I'm not even going to try and prove PC's superiority. Although, from what I've heard, both have their selling points. If Macs weren't so dang expensive, I'd probably get one just to see how it runs and what I can do with it. Also: sorry that iTunes is giving you trouble on Windows 7, Chocolate. Hopefully they can patch it soon so you can return to the forums and spend hundreds of dollars on apps.
Are you using 32bit or 64bit Win7? I'm using 64bit, and I think that may be part of the issue. Anyway, I wish I could say the same as you - but someday I will get an i-device again. Probably will get the next iPod Touch version, when they add the camera and mic. That was one thing I immediately wished it had when I played with it - it would just be perfect with a camera and mic. (Throw in the GPS too! ) I'm sure by then the Win7 support will be all fixed up. And I'm not really leaving TA. This is a great site with good forums, and I'm going to still follow all the game news here. Afterall, I bought a couple of game apps, and I will be back to play them again someday!
Lol, my friend never shuts up about how the Mac operating system is soooo much better, and I argue not to say that Windows is better, but that they both have their advantages and disadvantages and it's a matter of preference, Windows does not suck, neither do Macs.
This nerd at my school is always praising windows and PCs every second he gets. Guess where his dad works, and whether he has a 360 or PS3
Windows is all right, but I'm p'd off that there is no Linux iTunes. If it wasn't for that I would be using linux right now. When I get my netbook, though... Who here believes that apple purposely makes their products unreliable on Windows, like saying: "SHOULD HAVE GOT A MAC!"? There are 3 mac fanboys at this one small forum. They got the Linux thread closed due to their flaming. I agre.
Bleh, no wonder I've been having some problems syncing my iPod to my new Windows 7 laptop, it used to rarely recognize but it seems fine as of now after messing around with it. Sucks for you though, if you ever do get another one, I hope you have a better experience. EDIT: Oh, so it is iTunes 64 bit, I recently got the Windows 7x64 so I had to go with iTunes x64 and that must be the problem
Mine is 64bit, and I'm sorry it has not worked out for you. Hope the issue gets fixed soon so you can return to idevice gaming.
AHHHHH!!!! I fixed it!!! It's all working great now! 4 hours with Apple support and a tech at the Apple store, and I fixed it today on my own. See my edited first post if you would like details. But basically it was a firewall that needed to be completely uninstalled. So now I'm keeping it!
Awesome! Glad to see it all worked out for you. Those #@%$ firewalls and all the crap they screw up. All the Mac users are now laughing their heads off at the fact that we need them.
