I'm looking for some good budget mixing headphones. I'm looking for anything up to $100. I know it's a small budget, but music is a hobby not a job. I want some flat clear headphones. I do not want a ridiculous pair of headphones with an exaggerated price and bass delivery. They NEED TO BE FLAT!!!! Anyways, lemme know.
Back in the day I used to use Sony's. Pretty much for the same reasons you've listed and especially because they would last and have good durabilty. I can't attest to current models but here's one I found in your budget. Good luck. http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Sony-MDR7506-Headphones?sku=271056
my sister does music production at uni and she said you need to spend £150 to get headphones to produce with, probably a bit of an over reaction, but you might need to spend closer to $150
