I have a white incase slider for my iPhone 2g and have been complemented on how cool it looks several times. If u want a screen protector, get the power support anti glare film(no fingerprints, screen feels better, protection, and obviously no glare).
The case does sound really cool but it seems to much but thats just my opinion I got the incase slider case too but for the ipod touch. its very nice and sturdy and does protect from scratches. for protection i would go for the incase slider case.
I second the Rebel Touch cases! I have the devil (red and black). The nice thing about the rebel is that it comes with a stand (for viewing movies widescreen) and a dock connector , if one has an accessory, so the case must not be peeled of to fit into the dock. There are several YouTube videos about unpacking a rebel touch case, btw.
