When I get up in the morning, I find it REALLY hard to get up and get to work, so I goof on my iPod Touch until I absolutely have to leave. Yesterday morning, our local news posted a FB message to report on local weather conditions in our area. Everyone was so serious, except for one person...
That's pretty cool it got to TV I think I'm one of the only people online who hasnt made a facebook, myspace or other social networking account I'm still kicking around on IRC.
The only thing I have is teh TwittAr. SO you are not alone with the whole FaceBook/Myspace thing. I have a Myspace account but it has been inactive for almost 4 years.
Facebook is always my first port of call when I get online these days. I have it as my home page, so I can check it first, see what's going on with friends and family, make a few comments then get the hell off of it. I know a few people who seem to spend all day on there but I figure checking maybe twice a day is enough to keep up to date.
I prefer the old fashioned way of not caring what everyone is doing. If it's something important and concerns me, I'll probably get a phone call, or emal, or text. Also, Facebook games do to middle aged women what WoW does to everyone else. The only difference is, people who play WoW don't constantly send me those damn emails about lost farm animals.
If you care what everyone is doing on Facebook, you're using it wrong. You check it to find out whether or not you care, not because you automatically care. I'll go on today and see someone's eating pizza in bed... don't care, but my uncles posted a video of my two cousins skiiing, I miss them a fair bit living so far away, so I care about that one. It's not rocket science. You're also using it wrong if you get constant emails about animals. For a start disable all email notifications except private messages, secondly, find the most popular offenders (apps, not people) and block them on your news feed. Bingo.
Lol I know. It's just not for me. Being able to see pictures and videos of family is one of the good aspects.
