On January 12th 2010, Logitech released an app for the iPhone/iPod Touch called Touch Mouse. Touch Mouse is a trackpad simulator for your computer. To use it, simply download the app from the App Store below, And download the computer software at www.logitech.com/touchmouse. After you have done that, install the software. Once that is finished, you should see an icon in your taskbar. Then open the app from your device. You will then be presented with a server selection screen and have the ability to enter your computer's IP address. Select the server with the software installed. Then, you can just use the pad just like any other laptop. You can move your cursor around and type things in, just as you would with a regular computer. I just thought this was a really cool app and for the price it was being asked for (FREE), you can't go wrong with this. It's extremely basic, works well, but Air Mouse is still well worth the money if you're looking for this kind of app.
There are a lot of kinks to be worked out. There's sometimes lag with the cursor, and it seems if you type on the iPhone at faster than 10 WPM, the letters lag a lot on the computer. Some sentence like "11 is one higher than 10", if typed too fast on the iPhone, will look like "1sne hger". It's so annoying. But other than that, it's been okay to me Definitely worth the price of Free.
