Actually now I have a doubt for that (lol).. because it's up to the devs to release it, and Apple has no control.. But i realllly (i mean REALLY) hope they come out when 3.0 is released!! :D lol

Nothin much. I asked the guy from Twitter these questions

Question: "Any new news on LiveFire? Thx!" (Something like that lol)

Answer: "No news other than it's looking good and we're targeting release around the launch of OS 3.0"

Question: "Any exact expected release on LiveFire? And is it just online multiplayer, or is there a campaign? Price details? Jus' curious! Thx!"

Answer: "We're not stating a release date yet, Online hosted multiplayer against anon + friends, no pricing details yet"

It's a bit helpful lol.. So we should be seeing this early/mid June..e :) Can't wait for this and The Sims 3!! :)

It's the OS you have I think so, yes it will work on 2g or 3g just the OS matters (device rarely does though)

Yeah i saw that earlier today as well.. Pretty interesting info.. At least we won't have to pay for the rocket launcher!! lol.. and I like that you can view your own and other people's stats and rankings, etc.. lol :).. Looks like the first good quality FPS (iFPS Online has potential, but not quite good...) :)

Online only? I'm getting this but It's hard to believe that they won't have some sort of offline gameplay (practice mode, missions, etc).

Yeah I think there has to be something offline, even just deathmatches against bots...so we can practise and hone our skills! :D

As for the armor purchasing, it could work providing ngmoco carefully tunes the mechanics of each item relative to the base model giving you a noticeable, but not over the top improvement and a sacrifice elsewhere, as they describe. Also, at the same time they need to rank up and improve player stats to ensure you play better players due to the upgrade - it would be unfair to play at the same level with the additiional benefit, but better players should be able to cope...

Yeah, I love games with rankings. I'd have to expect there'd be offline bots as well. Not enough people have access to internet all the time to make it online only.

For me, it doesn't have to have offline play. You can always practice online. I'd rather have Ngmoco spend their time making a GREAT multiplayer!

Where did you get early/mid June from that chat? With WWDC not until June 10-14, new hardware and possibly a close to final OS 3.0 expected to be showcased then and a release for the new hardware being rumored around July 17, 2009 I fully expect to see the OS 3.0 debut during that time, around July 17.

Sims 3 is going to debut next week (June 2 I think) on the iPhone and then will be upgraded when OS 3.0 comes out.

    http://venturebeat.com/2009/05/27/ea-pulls-out-the-stops-for-launch-of-sims-3-iphone-game/

So mid July would be my guess for new hardware and OS 3.0 final debut.

    LiveFire does look good though.

i heard that they are using the new in-app purchase feature so you have to buy the weapons. If thats the case i'd rather stick to pc games cause im not willing to waste $1 on a weapon.

That was just to demo the new feature of iPhone OS 3.0. They confirmed that.
