the new ngmoshow just went up on youtube. Theres going to be an offline mode! They also put a little gameplay footage up
So technically... They're just adding more stuff in instead of fixing bugs or most of that other stuff... So in this case.. If they keep adding up, they will get to a point which is undownloadable from the app store... Maybe. WHAT ABOUT TOUCHPETS?!? WE HAVEN'T HEARD ANY NEWS ABOUT THAT IN MORE THAN A YEARRR...
the offline mode is a "Practice Mode"....hmmm I just hope they make it fun enough that it's playable regularly. I have wifi half the time and the other half i dont...
Man, I don't know if the ngmoshow is supposed to be funny, but it's most definitely not. The guys come off more dorky than anything else. Don't get me wrong, it's nice that ngmoco can give us little previews of the game (which really only make the wait worse), but i don't really see the need for some weekly "show" that attempts to be funny, or clever. Just finish the game and release it A.S.A.P
Sounds to me just like the standard game but with bots (instead of human opponents) and it doesn't affect you're ranking. I think thats a good idea, in fact it was suggested earlier in this very thread. WTF? You're complaining that they want to add more content to the game! And who said they aren't going to fix bugs, tweak stuff etc - this is an extra mode not a replacement for that stuff. Oh and BTW, Touchpets was only announced at the OS3.0 event in March, so more like 5 months.
Hi, are they going to release touchpets too. It says they will later this summer Mary Jane form ngmoco says, I hope that means this month too along with livefire.
Let's hope so. Of all the upcoming FPS games soon to be released this, to me, looks like it has the most promise.
Yes, first person shooter...haha. But I'm pretty sure, they will simply name it like that. FPS without any extra meaning.
They haven't really been building publicity for Touch Pets, so I think it is a little further away. Each game is being made by a different developer though, so at least they don't have to delay one in order to finish the other.
Thank you Kmacleod for the information. I know everyone wants the other and not as many want touchpets but i hope we all get the games we want too see.
No problem I don't know if that is necessarily true, about which one people are more interested in... I know more of the people who post on this forum are interested in the shooter, but I'm not sure if more people who own iPhones are. I think that a lot of Touchpets' potential audience is among people who aren't necessarily "Gamers" in the traditional sense of the word. The shooter, on the other hand, is targeted at gamers. Since this website is focused on gamers, it makes sense that the people on this website would be more interested in the shooter. I might be wrong on this, but I predict Touch Pets is going to do extremely well in a lot of different demographics that the shooter is going to fail in. I'm predicting huge sales in amongst female gamers, Japanese audiences, and older demographics. I'm also guessing that the shooter is going to fail in all of these groups. That isn't to say that Touch Pets isn't going to be successful among gamers as well; they tend to like playing with whatever the cutting edge popular apps are, and extras like Achievements and leaderboards could definitely draw in gamers. Overall, Touch Pets has a huge potential audience, and the shooter has a somewhat smaller one. As Touch Pets gets closer to launch, I expect Ngmoco to start heavily publicizing it in places you wouldn't normally see iPhone games advertised - in more mainstream web sites, and maybe even on TV.
Thank you again Kmacleod. I hope that at least by September this will be out. I like the puzzle games and some of the oldies maybe because i am older. Thank you and I will be watching for anything else on touchpets. Have a good night
