Hahaha I agree 100 percent. Warpack was the biggest over-hyped piece of turd in the world. Since playing Baseball Slugger i have realised just how well a multiplayer game can work on this platform. I really hope ngmoco put together a SOLID matchmaking system and don't hack together some junk 'challenge' based system like they have for most their other games.
I really think the problem with it was the control system. I bet it would have been a lot more fun as a dual-stick shooter instead of a point-click thing.
yeah the control system was absolutely horrible. thumb kept getting in the way then you couldnt move while shooting.... all its doing now is taking up memory. but i also dont like how you have to play through the tutorial levels again when you lose
It felt like a pretty decent game though, except for the controls. I wanted to like the game, you know? Anyways, hopefully they'll fix them in an update someday.
this thread is about ngmocos first person shooter not warpack grunts. talk about that in its own forum.
It seems like a given that it should cost between 6 and 10 dollars, but they could surprise us. Should be an instant-buy at that price, unless they actually try to charge real money for weapon upgrades, like the example used at the introduction event.
If you have anything new to discuss regarding LiveFire that hasn't already been mentioned and gone over 50 times, I'll be glad to talk about it.
Is it called livefire now? Well, to tell you the truth there is nothing to talk about because ngmoco isnt telling us anything and i hate them for doing that. they should keep up to date
I have no idea what it is called, they just kept calling it "Our FPS" in the latest video. I really don't think they have any idea what to name it. It can be tough to think of names for things sometimes, even for a big company. I don't think it is secrecy, I bet they just don't know. LiveFire and Killtest are both terrible names, and I think they know that.
That name is still better than "Kill Test" They should do a naming contest, with prizes and stuff for the best votes. They could give a copy of the game out for free to the winner, maybe with a custom character skin or something like that. Anything to drum up publicity for the game... it has been a long time since they've posted any real information.
jesus christ, has it been a year already? in the time that they took i could have downloaded the SDK, learned how to program and made my own fricking multiplayer FPS game. Why the heck are they taking so long? i know i sound whiny, but i have seriously been waiting for this game since before i had an iphone(and i've had it for quite a while). After a certain point, the excitement just dries up and it simply becomes annoying. ngmoco needs to learn the difference between building up hype and wearing down patience. [//:end.uppity.monologue]
But still.....by now?? I first saw the tech demo clip back around january and THAT looked polished...that was around 6 months ago.
There is a reason ngmoco's games play so well compared to most of the other games in the store - they aren't rushed out unfinished.
Haven't seen any games from ngmoco that are poorly made. In fact, they all seem to have a huge amount of polish. I don't like the gameplay in all of them, but I can respect that they're well made, which is more than I can say for 99% of the rest of the crap on the store. I don't know how many games I've seen rushed out with broken interfaces or ugly screen filtering. Some don't even respect the silent switch on the device. There has been another trend lately of releasing games that don't have any content, like Minigore. Rather than including levels, they promise to deliver after they get your money. I haven't seen ngmoco do any of those things before...
there just keeping the game for them selfs so they can go up the rank and no one can ever catch up to them. evil little devs!!!!
