"Wow, the binding on the book was beautiful, shame everything inside it sucked" "That car is gorgeous, but it drives like a tank, a bad one" Just because you call something nice looking and then completely decimate everything else about it proves that I'm not the one learning how to read. And I wasn't specifically directing the "1" to you, but from your post below, you're telling me a "p*** poor attempt at a game" gets a 7 or higher from you? Because you are trolling in a thread made for the game. You remind me of IMDB commenters that run at full speed to spew their hate on a movie or actor, endlessly. You don't like the game, you said it, and keep saying it. Your logic of continuing to post in a thread about something you have already said you dislike only reaffirms your troll status. What are your continued comments accomplishing? These threads are for discussions on the game, just because technically you can swim in here constantly denigrating a game doesn't mean it serves any purpose for you, for me, or for anyone else here. Leave a review in iTunes and be done with it. Edit: To make it clear, I don't think you otherwise have a poor taste in games. Hell, anyone who considers Space Miner to be a top game is a-freaking okay in my book. If any game deserved a hall of fame trophy for all out awesomeness, it is that game.
Well your point is clear. We understand that you are unsatisfied with your purchase. Perhaps Apple will issue you a refund. The developers are not active in this thread, so your issues are falling on the ears of those with no ability to help you. Thank you for voicing your opinion. Hopefully you've prevented anyone else from making the same perceived mistake you feel you've made and you can move on.
this game is awesome, even if people dont think its a game its tough to find all the combos LOL... some are obvious some take a little thought its a great relaxing puzzle game! its so polished and its THE BEST BURNING CRAP SIMULATOR EVER THE FIRE EFFECTS ARE FREAKING AWESOME PERIOD! that time bomb with the nuke is so awesome LOL... and you can burn pictures of your own stuff hahaha..its clever world of goo humor... in a update be cool to have other elements in the fireplace ... as beavis would say FIREEEEE FIREEEEE!!!!!!!! now burning more STUFF!!!
I've got every achievement now, only thing I didn't burn was the coupon so everthing else is safe to torch.
Same here! Finished the story in just over five hours and now I'm going back to try and get more of the combos - and to bask in e warmth of my Little Inferno Entertainment System! For me, the ending had more impact/emotion than most big budget games & films. All together it's been an amazing experience...
I think I'll grab this while its still redeemable on freeappslots...that site is turning into a turd; time to cash out.
The whole fire effect really reminds me of the fire and way things interacted in LittleBigPlanet, I also love the Doodle God approach to combos and the charming way everything is wrapped together with character and a sense of discovery. There also seems to be a few digs at the current state of game design interwoven throughout. Brilliant.
Anyone else noticed there is no pause button? I mean I can get the game to pause by pressing the lock or home button, also 4-5 fingers gestures work but actual pause is gone
I hate to say this... But the more I play, the more I find that the game is too restrictive in accepting "suitable" solutions for the combos. Let me give you some example: *** SPOILERS *** For the LOL Kitty: I use the alphabet blocks (you have to buy enough) to find the letters L, O, L, and then combine them with the kitty. The game does not accept this, but the solution is correct. For the Cat fish: I use a photo of the kitten (this is the photo where you have to choice) and the puffer fish. Again, the game does not accept this. *** END SPOILERS *** For a game meant to encourage lateral thinking, it is very disappointing that the game is not intelligent enough to accept these unusual but correct answers. In the end, the game just becomes yet another exercise of guessing what the designer wants to be the correct answers only.
Not to sound like a dick, but you actually wanted a 'cat recognition' system to be built into the game for that load-your-own-picture feature? Am I understanding you correctly here? I like the combo system as is, just wish there were even more. Took me about 6hrs total to beat the game with all the combos, so that's plenty, but it was so good - I want more!
No, of course not. This would be unfair indeed. For the "load your picture" item, there is actually a cat photo and a dog photo rotating that are built-in. It is possible to select THAT cat photo to be the item you purchase. As those photos are inherently part of the game asset, they should be allowed and recognized. Further, the game deliberately makes available a dog photo beside the cat photo, which is clearly an acknowledge that the photo of the cat is a deliberate choice.
This really seems like a good game... A lot of games this month, such as RR3, IBD mad then this. However, since I haven't purchased, might I ask a question? Which story is better, this or walking dead's, in terms of emotion?
I don't see the problem. The idea of people creating riddles is for you to find the solution to the riddle they created, not create a new rule for the riddle. You could twist anything that way.
I'd say TWD, but you really can't compare the two...especially the endings; they're on complete opposite sides of the spectrum. Both are essential purchases though.
Actually, you all sound like members of a sect - any time someone has something negative to say about this game, you react disproportionately. The most annoying combo was The Yellow Brick Road - there are about five toys that can reasonably be interpreted as the Tin Man, but the game only recognizes the transhumanist toy as the valid solution. Anyway, my approach to solving these was simple - 90% of the time, one of the items required was the most recently unlocked item, so half of the solution was already spoiled; the 2nd and 3rd items were either literally described ("Two Fans", "Brick & Mortar", "Framed" etc) or part of the same category, lyrically described ("Cold War", "Yellow Brick Road" etc). There's also the occassional way-too-obscure reference, but there were just a couple combos not fitting the simple recipe above. Hope that'll help you solve them.
