Hey everyone! I have Google Wave but got none to wave to. Let's start a list (DO NOT POST EMAILS HERE.) PM People you want to wave with: 1)Superbad
I hope I get accepted, if I do ill let you know. BTW. This google wave looks like it would work well for people that want their game beta tested. Starting the conversation and all and breaking it off
I havent really grasped on the full capability of it but I know when I chat, I can see the other person typing... LOL
Hmm, just watching the instructional video, here. Info: "What is a wave? A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more. A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when. A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time." (Sounds like IRC 2.0)
I got an invitation yesterday, but don't know anyone who has Wave. : / But Wave has quite a lot of potential. Basicly as I see it, and if developers starts to support it, Wave will become a kind of a platform for nearly every kind of communication that happens over Internet. Wave can for example aggregate (with extensions) many kind of information from other services, like Twitter, Facebook, forums and so on. So instead of you needing tens of different applications and having to visit tens of webpages to see if anyone has send you a message, or something like that, you just have that one webpage that aggregates all that information into one place. And you can also reply to people from that same place, for example send tweets from Wave and so on. But Wave isn't quite yet there. It's still in quite early development, so don't expect too much from it for the time being.
Here's nice little hint, especially if you don't have anyone to wave with. Type withublic into Wave's search bar and you get a whole bunch of public wave's. Anyone can write into a public wave, so try that to find some interesting waves. You can add more search words / terms into it. For example "withublic eliminate" finds a wave dedicated for Eliminate.
@teidon, that's a cool trick. This opens a new world of Google Wave, since the main drawback for me is the low amount of people using it. Please feel free to add me if you are crazy about iPhone games : appfreakblog
