@Thaurin I think that you are talking about the Last Express But I'm afraid that our game is not as nonlinear as the Last Expres. The Train episode 01 has few puzzles, riddles or other elements that have two or more ways to solve it. Also there are few places that you don't have to visit, characters that you don't have to talk and actions that you don't have to do - but all of them have affect on the game world! The starting price is set to 2.99 USD. And about the iPad version - it will be available in one month.
Wizzley Presto Wizzley presto - check it out tell me what u think!!! A point and click adventure with a mixture of a cute platformer! 4.5 star game Hi guys, I started playing Wizzley Presto a few days ago. I bought it for the graphics and have since realized it is a point and click, should be on the list. Here's more of an explanation. This is a point and click, action, adventure, role playing, puzzle game! If that doesn't explain things then let me spell it out.* Game is 3 chapters all for the price of 99 cents U get 3 lives and while completing quests u must avoid the typical enemies that u would find in a "Mario" type platform game. There are items to collect in order to complete various puzzles as is typical for these types of point and click games. The main theme of the game is the collection of items for puzzles, similar to monkey island or Simon the sorcerer. U collect stars on your journey and smashing eggs into strange eye things makes for a game full of content and fun! I was seriously surprised *when I started playing this game as it hasn't received much attention but I would strongly recommend! It's highly original, cheap and highly enjoyable!!!!!!!!!
I would agree that it's an enjoyable game, but I don't think I'd classify it as a "P&K Adventure". As you said, it's a platform game with some decent object puzzles, but since the emphasis is as much on platforming as anything I don't think it qualifies for this list. Also, other than the lives there really aren't any RPG elements, and most platform games have lives, so I wouldn't even add RPG to the genre mash-up. I think the reason it hasn't received quite as much attention is that it started out at $4.99, and as you know, anything above 99 cents is pretty taboo if you're not one of the "big guys". Hopefully it will receive some note now that the price has dropped, though.
Yes, that's right! Bonus points and gamer cred to the adventure game developer that knows this title. That game had a lot of interesting concepts that no other developer (that I know of) has done since. It's not shameful that your game doesn't have comparable features to that classic. Nor is it required. I'll be sure (even more so now ) to check out the iPad version once it comes out!
First of all I'm a player and adventure games fan My favorites of all time are: 1. The Last Express 2. Rise of The Dragon 3. KGB aka Conspiracy 4. Beneath a Steel Sky 5. Broken Sword 1 and 2 6. Monkey Island series (but only to The Curse of the Monkey Island) 7. Atlantis And I've hope that The Train won't disappoint players! I can tell you that this is some kind of mix between Rise of The Dragon and 1112 by Agharta Studios, in the urban fantasy world with touch of City-17 from Half-Life 2.
AVOID GOBLIIINS Guys, just some info on "gobliiins." I would avoid this game until there is an update! It has the worst controls of any game I have played, and is full if bugs! Level 6 has a bug at the end which makes it impossible to pass the level. (when u need to pick up a bottle, it picks up both the bottle and pillow, thus leaving u stuck in the level. Inable to unlock the next level because of this!
Agreed. I've mentioned a multitude of bugs I've had in the official thread over in the iPhone section. Other than in the first level, I have had game breaking bugs on every screen.
That's a shame about Gobliiins. I've got the game and I'm supposed to be reviewing it, so the last thing I want to hear is that it's full of bugs. Doesn't make for a very good review
Thanks for the list, OP. I already own a few of those (MI1/2, StS1/2, ITE) and I'll check out the others to see if there are any that I might want to get. It's a shame that sometimes the controls don't seem to transfer so well. When I went to play ITE, I found myself struggling with simple actions like opening a door and walking through it.
