Blows my mind why there aren't more horror point and click adventure games. The genre is so good for that type of stuff. Is there a game like that on the appstore?
HECTOR Episode 2 & 3: We Negotiate with Telltale Alright, some of you coachpokers out there have been making wild speculations about the whereabouts of the Hector Dev Team. Let us begin by setting the record straight: they're not dead, they haven't shoved off to the Caymans with your £2.39, and there is absolutely no truth to the rumour that they're being held at knifepoint by any of the special interest groups that we may or may not have offended during the making of Episode 1. Here's the latest plot twist in the epic of my life... Straandlooper and Telltale Games are teaming up to complete the Hector: Badge of Carnage series, kicking of Spring 2011 with a multi-platform re-release of Episode 1, followed by Episodes 2 and 3 later this year. So sit back, grab a cherry bakewell and sink yourself into some other plotless, high-budget, new release frag-fest as the Dev Team works well past your bedtimes to deliver something extra special to further disappoint you all. Oh, and for the love of all things smothered in sweet chilli sauce, will all you cobjockeys who thought you'd rate me one-star on the App Store in some sort of lame protest (which, honestly, had all the effectiveness of holding your breath until your face turns blue), kindly go replace them with a decent rating otherwise Ill have to come round to your cardboard box with some motivational tools such as a gift-wrapped truncheon and some ravenous police dogs. Nobody wants that. Believe me, I've been there. Dream the dream. D.I. Hector. Clappers Wreake Police Service
No no guys, I know what Hector is. I'd buy it if it goes on sale, I really want to play it. I just think that last paragraph sounded stupid, that's what the huh was for
Lol I should hear that, but I just got the message from my iPad "can't download because there isn't enough space", I'm so much bored to make free space on the iPad that it became a nightmare to even handle it, that's only a mildly joke.
I had "Dracula: Path of the Dragon part 1" for ages and yesterday night I have finally began playing it. Don't know if it actually ever gets to "horror" level, but so far it pleasantly creepy. 7th Guest was supposed to have horror elements too, IIRC.
Nice! Hector was one of the most entertaining and fun point and click adventures i've ever played. Although it's pretty short, but so much fun. Can't wait for part 2 and 3. Epic Humor!! For everyone who haven't played Hector: badge of carnage yet: "Why the bleedin' haven't you downloaded the game yet, you fartmuppet" Btw Topicstarter can add "Egypt: the prophecy" (part 1-3) to the list. It's from the makers of Dracula: path of the dragon. Haven't played it yet though. Btw i'm stuck at dracula part 3 where that guy in captivity is, at the skull puzzle. I looked up on the internet that you need some twigs or branches to complete the puzzle, but i don't have it in my inventory. Can anyone help me? Or do i have to start over?
Dracula: Path Of The Dragon definitely has its creepy moments (at least in part 1, still need to play parts 2 and 3), but I would agree that it's probably not quite "horror". Then again, I'm not really sure I know what the definition of "horror" is As for Egypt: The Prophecy, I tried playing that one on a different system, and I never could get into it. I didn't find it all that interesting, and it didn't take me long to get completely stuck. I was probably just missing something simple, but to me a good adventure game doesn't leave you scratching your head for clues too early in the game.
Are there any new point and touch games out? Also what point and touch do you reccomend playing, so far i liked: Hector, monkey island, brokensword, dracula, beneath a steel sky. And i didn't like: myst, mystique. Currently busy with broken sword 2 and monkey island.
It's not really a "point and touch", but Escape From The Maiden's Curse is a new adventure game that looks fun. The Bygone City series is good too if you haven't tried them yet. The graphics are a bit bleh, but the first one had plenty to do and hopefully the next two will follow suit. Speaking of which, to the maintainer of the list in post 1, you need to add Bygone City 3 to the list.
Hello everyone! I just want to let you know that yesterday we sent The Train episode 01 HD (iPad version of the game) to Apple, so it should be available really soon. Link to the topic Regards, The Moonwalls.
