I just finished Broken Sword: Director's Cut on iPhone - this is soooo amazing game! I mean, I knew that Broken Sword is great (I played Smoking Mirror on my PC long time ago), but I'm still shocked!
The story and graphics are superb, even that this game is relatively old (I mean the original PC version). Touch puzzles work great on small iPhones screen, and the hint system is very well designed.
The only thing I don't like are the different quality voices - did you notice that voices from descriptions or dialogues are different than voices in videos? I'm talking about the quality and sound, not about the actors.

This is one of the best adventure games ever made, not only for iPhone/iPad but even for PC!

Monkey Island 1 & 2 are games with amazing worlds and great characters and writing. The puzzles can sometimes be nonsensical and too obtuse, but they are generally original and fun to solve.

Beneath a Steel Sky has incredible atmosphere and music, it's funny and has a great world and story.

Thanks Omega. Btw I never talk like that, g'day mate...pfft what a joke. Did I ever tell you how much my life sucks? God, I hate my wife. Now I got that off my chest...I would kill for the old school Sierra games to be released on the app store. Cheers (heh, I never say that either ;)

There are two parts of Broken Sword:
Broken Sword: Director's Cut is the first one
Broken Sword - The Smoking Mirror: Remastered is the second one

Also there are two language versions of these games: English, and Spanish.
The second part has also a German version.

Also you can buy all those games for iPad.

Versions for iPhone and for iPad are the same. If you are not Spanish or German native speaker, I recommend to buy English version of Broken Sword: Director's Cut as a first one, and when you finish it, buy Broken Sword - The Smoking Mirror: Remastered.

    Cheers

Someone sent me a link to a thread with a new point and click adventure game soon to come out. Unfortunately I did not subscribe to the thread and have since deleted the PM by mistake. Does anyone know what I am referring to?

Even if that's not the right one, I'm looking forward to that one. I like Grisly Manor, so I'm assuming Lost City will be of the same quality or better.

I like it a lot. Sure Broken Sword is better, but The Train is very nice (if you like stories about big love, mixed with sci-fi and fantasy). The only bad sides of this game are pretty long loading times on old devices (for example on 2G or 3G), but it runs nicely on iPhone 3Gs and higher.
The new update is really nice, especially the hint menu - I think that it was inspired by Broken Sword.
If you play The Train on 3Gs or higher, then you should give this game a chance and play it a little bit longer - you will be good surprised. And if you have 2G or 3G - you should buy new device (in fact Apple will not support them anymore with the new iOS version).

    Cheers!
