Dragon slayer Wouldn't dragon slayer be one? I'm pretty sure it would it's got the same dodge then attack style to it.
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=122786 I still remember how I felt after buying this bad IB-clone with 0 replayability on the release date just to see it on sale on the next day.
Oh dood... thanks for remembering. Yeah, this was ok albeit some flaws, but this wasnt a complete game, was it? I'll add it to the first post. Thanks! EDIT: Added.
If by complete you mean it had lots of content, no. If by complete you mean that it seemed like a finished game, no. That game is the reason why I don't want free roam for exploration in IB.
So what would be distinctively the best title from the list? Any game with a hype/acclaim level similar to IB3?
Joe Dever's Lone Wolf has gameplay quite similar to Infinity Blade. Didn't see it on the list so thought I'd throw it out there.
Pacific Rim should be on the list even though it isn't very good. Edit: Nevermind, I see someone else mentioned it a few pages back.
Not really. Lone Wolf is strictly QTEs, while Infinity Blade has more freedom in movement. Lone Wolf is actually more similar to Infinity Blade's Dragon fights.
Thanks for the bump man... I'll update this in a bit. There's also the Marvel one, the wrestling one, and the upcoming Mortal Combat.
Beast Quest. Currently only available in Canada. While the game isn't on-rails, the enemies are pretty much static and don't attack until you approach them. Then you go into combat mode, which is a watered down version of Infinity Blade combat (there are no combos and no parrying). I wouldn't really recommend the game in its current state, but it might get improved and it certainly belongs on this list.
I noticed this genre hasnt been used for a long time now. Are there any we've missed that came out lately?
