It seems like a ridiculous amount of games have gone missing from the App Store in the last week, more than we can realistically track down on our own, so it seems like it'd make sense to try and crowdsource a list of games that have been nuked from the App Store and purchase histories. Flight Control Dead Space Mass Effect Real Racing Bomberman Touch Metal Gear Solid Touch Bioshock Ghost Trick Virtua Tennis Jet Set Radio Afterburner Challenge Powder Puff Girls ...And that's just off the top of my head. What else have you guys noticed vanishing?
You gotta be kidding me Apple Zenonia 1-3 why isnt there something we can do about this? I have older ios devices that can play these titles...
I am very upset with the situation we are in. That's a shame! Digital gaming has so much promise, however they undermined my confidence to the point and don't know if it can be restored.
This irritated me so much I made this account just to post about it. I was zipping through my history yesterday and I found a metric ton of games missing: Sonic Spinball, Streets of Rage 1/2/3, Golden Axe 1/2/3, Gunstar Heroes, Ecco the Dolphin, Altered Beast, Space Harrier II, Shining Force, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, X-Men (the arcade game), Fantastic Knight, Duke Nukem II, Duke Nukem 3D, Krazy Kart Racers, Castlevania Puzzle, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II, Contra: Evolution, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and probably a whole bunch more I can't remember right now. Unbelievable. I'm hesitant to purchase any apps from the big companies now.
After comparing all my receipts to the list of games I can presently download, I managed to compile the following list. Bear in mind, these only pertain to games that I actually spent money on (for the sake of the argument, I decided to skip the free ones). I'm gutted that some of these are gone. A couple of them have always been mainstays for me (PoP: WW and MvC2, mainly), but I loved to revisit most of them every once in a while (The Secret of Monkey Island games, Fight Night, Mortal Kombat, X-Men, Guitar Hero...). I'm of a good mind to ask for refunds for every single one of them. If that's the only means I have to voice my displeasure at Apple's recent gung-ho approach, then it's probably worth a try.
