I have a ton of space so I've never had a problem not being able to play a game. I also delete each game once I have finished....I still have games I haven't finished on my iPad but nothing is calling to me at the moment :p maybe I have too much anxiety to concentrate lol

I guess I just can't imagine being bored with the thousands of games that are available for the iOS platform. I've been a gamer for a long time, and this is definitely the best platform I've ever had.

I know you were turned off by all the IAP in Mystery Manor: Hidden Adventures, but you really should give it a shot. I played it off and on all weekend and haven't paid for anything yet. Of course once you get to a certain point you'll have to take breaks to let your energy replenish if you don't want to buy anything, but I'm cheap enough that I'm willing to do that. I just need people I know to start playing because you can get bonuses and stuff when you work together with friends. So far I've approached 15 players to be my friend and only one has accepted.

You need friends to play? I'll play if it will help you.

You don't have to have friends to play, but as friends find items I believe there are ways they can share them. I also think it's possible to earn money and / or diamonds from friends, which is the lifeblood of getting cool things.

I'm actually not sure what that does either. I think that's to add people that aren't already playing the game (Facebook and Twitter stuff, or something like that). I don't have the game with me right now because I don't take my iPad to work, but in the menu system on the right hand side there is a link that says Friends. You should see RustySabre in that list. If so, tap the Make A Friend button, and I'll confirm it when I play later tonight.

Have you been playing for a while, or did the rooms start off dark for you? Basically, each room goes through three cycles - regular menu, shadow menu and regular menu but dark with a spotlight. There are also times where the menu items are scrambled, but I'm not sure if that's a separate cycle or if that can happen during the darkness phase. There are also instances where the clock is sped up to double time.

It was dark w a spotlight. I deleted the game bc I could not continue unless I wanted to purchase a key. I had a feeling that was coming.

How long did you play it for? I've played easily for 2-3 hours or more since I downloaded it and haven't had to buy anything yet.

Oh I didn't play that long. I finished the living room and kitchen and couldn't get into the bedroom unless I bought a key. That's where the next item I needed for my quest was.

There's something you've got to be missing there. Is there only one quest you can work on right now? You don't have enough to actually buy the key? I believe the key requires diamonds, and you should have enough to get it. I remember the first time that popped up I thought I needed to use money, but it turns out that wasn't actually the case. At this point I'd say I've explored each room that I've unlocked at least 10 times, and I have 4-5 rooms unlocked altogether.

  15. Thanks for telling us! I deleted mine so wouldn't have known. Did they improve the controls at all?

I was kind of wondering the same thing. I got rid of it after a few minutes because I thought the controls were awkward and it was even harder to keep your bearing straight than in a Microids game :)

Did you try Dracula: The Path of the Dragon 1-3? I find them pleasantly creepy and the first episode for iphone is free.

Think the controls are still a bit hard from what I've played this morning but you do get a map. The map, however, does not tell you where you are. Will give it another go later but I find that navigating the controls is part of the fun

I enjoyed Dracula, and have got a lot of games with the same mechanics, grabby hand and cog because I enjoy them. Working on Nostradamus now

Joan jade and the Gates....on sale for $1.99

Adventure of TinTin on sale for $4.99 (this was just released and I was hoping it would go down lower...we shall see)

I bought Broken Flower and Real Escape (both IDAC ), many of you may have played them bc I think they were at one time free. However I don't recommend either. Not two of their better games. Probably why I saved them for last to purchase :D

I'm still waiting for BigFish QOS (queen of spades) to go on sale. Not sure that will happen or at least it won't be a big sale.

@eric I have no clue about diamonds etc. all I know is what popped up on my screen telling me I had to buy something and that was when I said forget it. I saw what happens when u click on a friend. There is a room of odd monsters that u need to buy things in order to kill etc.
