  1. Gasp! How come you haven't played them yet?

I reviewed Broken Sword on the Pocket PC when it came out, and then I picked up the iOS version when it went free or 99 cents or whatever it was a while back. They were actually quite different from what I could tell. The Pocket PC version reminded me of what little I played from the PC version, so it appears that the iOS version was the odd man out. Can't speak for the second one because I haven't played it on any platform. Anyone else play BS1 across multiple devices and experience major differences?

I own 2 out of the three Antrim games (I actually might own all three but I'm too lazy to look right now), and I haven't played any of them yet. I think I'll start this weekend, though.

Finally downloaded the free AE3. I don't think it has the Christmas game (at least not on the first playthrough).

Edit: Looks like AE has gone freemium. You only get part of the game for free.

Victorian Mysteries: The Moonstone HD, a HoG from Square Enix (???) is on sale for 99 cents right now (iPhone version as well).

The fool that I am, I decided to try that HoG Mystery Manor: Hidden Adventure this morning as I was attempting to rush out the door for work. I did get to spend a few minutes with it, and it seems rather interesting. There doesn't appear to be too much of a plot, but you do get to talk to different characters, and so far I haven't seen a need to buy anything via IAP. As for the silhouette lists, out of four hidden object scenes, I've only encountered that once so far. Anyway, I know I'll be playing it some more. Since it's free, I'd recommend taking the time to download it and try it. Worst case, you don't like it and delete it. On the other hand, you might end up with a really cool game!

I'm confused w this Atrium stuff. I played A3 and deleted it. App told me to download it again bc they added stuff. I only see changes to the HD version. The icon has the girl wearing a Santa hat. However, it looks like the extra rooms etc are IAP. Blah does anyone know if this is accurate or can I go ahead and delete it again? There is no way I'm playing the game over lol

  7. Lol. The deluxe version the the one you originally had, which includes all updates, no IAPs. The Christmas content is free with that. It's up to you if you want to download again to play it ;)

Ohhh well I'm going to delete bc Xmas sales are coming and there is no way I'm playing that game over lol

@eric I played Victorian Mysteries: The Moonstone. I wish there were new games coming out bc I want to take advantage of the Xmas sales. Unfortunately I've bought most of the games I was interested in....:(

  9. I wish there was a room escape section in the app store. So many games give no clue in their title that they're an escape game!

    So how was Victorian Mysteries?

On another note, if anyone happens to run across A Way Out Of Alcatraz and thinks the screen shots look familiar, that's because it's the same Alcatraz game that was listed by SoftGamers not too long ago. Yep, that's the guy that created the awful Father Simmons game. Apparently he's so desperate for sales that he's decided to relist this newest game under a different company, probably hoping people wouldn't be smart enough to figure out.

  12. If anyone hasn't played Lechuza yet, it's on sale for 99 cents. Personally, I'm in love with the art style.

  13. New IDAC game out: My Girlfriend and the Cafe. I guess there's no set schedule after all.

  15. Yeah I started that a few days ago and forgot about it. The bored.com games are really evolving. Not sure what 4D is, though -- doesn't that mean we should be able to travel back in time or something? ;)

    Wits End
I have given up on these games as I find them very hard with no feedback from the actual game.

Ditto! I'm for the first time in a long time completely bored with every single game. Maybe it's time to start reading and finishing the growing stack of books next to my bed lol I would love a sequel to Chateau!!!! That is still my fav game of the year and definitely in my top 3 fav games of all times.

Do you play anything besides adventure games? I haven't even come close to getting bored with my games yet. My biggest problem is I just don't have enough time to play the ones I want to!

  20. Same here! I have so many games on my PC I haven't even loaded onto my phone yet. So many games, so little time!
