Lol! Did you ever see the article about an NYC family that bought an apartment and had it turned into a room escape game? Apparently the contractor hid clues and items throughout the place. Crazy!
Yeah, only they live there so they can take their time doing it. Sounds like a great idea if you have tons of money to burn Credit card points from Citibank. They've been piling up and I wasn't sure what to get with them. Now I know
Here's an interesting one I just ran across: Bank Escape. It actually looks like an old Sierra style adventure game. I'm buying now and I'll let you guys know.
Omg they killed the e3D games. The latest one, the Apartment, is just plain awful. Very unresponsive, no idea how to use my items (they changed how they work) and one of the rooms is pitch black with no explanation why. What a shame.
Stiff animations? Did you see a video for it somewhere, or did you actually buy it and try it? Anyway, I played it for a bit but finally gave up. I've managed to find one item so far, and I have no idea what to do with it. There are several people in the bank but none of them will talk to me, and the game gives you absolutely no explanation of what you are supposed to do. It's almost worse than a room escape game Funny, I just finished this one and actually enjoyed it. I thought it was a bit short, but I didn't find it unresponsive at all. Maybe you were just tapping on the wrong things To use an item you drag it onto whatever you want to use it with. If you tap on an item and it pops up in a "window" that means it's either just for viewing purposes or it can interact with another inventory item.
Maybe I should have said stiff graphics. I just thought the screen caps made it look like it was rushed and not worth my money. Hmm... Maybe I'll give the Apartment another shot. It just seemed really unresponsive because I was tapping on everything, and barely anything allowed me to zoom in. And even then, I couldn't do anything with it. I found two items that could only be zoomed in on, and nothing else. Then the dark room that seemed like a glitch without an explanation. Suddenly gained an appreciation for IDAC's "There is nothing of interest here." Edit: found the light switch and a few more items, but still... Can't interact with much. And even the arrows take a few taps before they work. Edit: Ok, I got further. But this is what I mean -- certain spots that I tapped on many times and nothing happened. Now all of a sudden I can zoom in. Really frustrating. And it takes me several tries to grab an item to move it. You must have really small fingers, Eric
Btw, have any of you played IDAC's Dangerous Luxury Liner yet? Just noticed it's another 3D game. Might buy it.
For whatever reason, I don't like those 3d escape games. However I love the free ones ie. the penthouse etc (forgot the dev).
I finished the luxury liner. Wasn't very impressed. I started Looking Through the Glass and wasn't able to get very far so I put it down. I'll pick it back up later
Lol yes, that would explain it. They also cut down the screen size to have the inventory permanently open. So that made it even worse.
TeraLumina? Yeah, those are great, but they're released so infrequently. Oddly enough, bored.com seems to claim the online version of those games if you Google it. Strange. Uh oh, is it Strange House all over again?
Lol This is one of the most difficult ones I've played I still have zero desire to pick it back up haha
Btw, Antrim Escape 1 is free right now because of their whole company renaming thing (I don't get it). If you don't have it already, download it now!
Lol maybe I should wait till I get my iTunes gift card then Btw, is anyone able to get the Twitter link to work on AppNavi for inviting friends?
