Np, better to make a public post :)

Wow, I took a look at the site, I tried to do the same yesterday on 148apps (looking through paid apps mostly, that’s how I found Mystery House - Secret Stealth) but w/o a filter for genres finding something useful is a real b****.

Kudos for having posted so many adventures over the years with this method, you‘ve started that thread nearly 7 years ago after all! I‘ll try to find some every now and then when I‘ve got time but as you mentioned with so many releases and no decent algorithm/filter it‘s a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack. On 148 (http://www.148apps.com/newest-148-app-store-additions/) it‘s also only possible to filter with price and device compability. Not much to go with when looking for a certain genre ...

I‘m always on the lookout for good adventure games though so at least I can promise to keep posting stuff I read about or played myself ;)

And btw, also two games most probably heard about:

Gorogoa - An incredibly charming puzzle adventure with very creative mechanics.

And INSIDE probably best described as a Puzzle Platformer/Action Adventure from the makers of LIMBO. Just played through it a second time (first PC, now iOS, finally got my hands on an iOS 11 device which alas is minimum for the game). Not a classic adventure but with a lot of interesting brainteasers.

As a warning: INSIDE might not be for everybody though, as the main protaginst is a nameless young boy sho dies quite the gruesome deaths if you screw up (getting zapped, falling from big heights, getting drowned by a weird underwater creature etc). Still loved the game for its clever and challenging puzzles. It‘s well worth the 8 bucks asking price (compared to 20 on PC)

Rather classic adventure, released last month: Rusty Lake Paradise.

There’s also Rusty Lake Roots and Rusty Lake Hotel from the same dev.

The games play in a rather weird universe which may not be for everybody. You can try if you like it in the nine completely free (no ads or iAP) Rusty Lake Cube Escape adventure games in similar settings, also from the same dev.

Rusty Lake Hotel was an extremely bizarre game, but in such a way that it's actually one of my favorite shorter adventure games on the iOS platform.

Went through my purchases a bit, alas a lot of games didn‘t get updates for iOS 11.

Here are some rather classic Adventure games - luckily all working on/updated for iOS 11 - I remember enjoying quite much:

    - Dr.Stanleys House 1, Dr.Stanley's House 2, Dr.Stanley‘s House 3,

    - I‘m sure most know Agent A: A puzzle in disguise (4 of 5 episodes released, all released with free updates withing the game),

    - MechaNika (weird game about a 7 year old mechanical genius with drinking and other age inappropriate stuff, probably not for everybody ;) )

    - Infamous Machine: a pretty cool classical point and click Adventure about a doofus chasing a professor through time and different worldwide locations. Remember enjoying this quite a bit and just started replaying a few minutes ago.

Edit: In the second chapter of Infamous Machine atm. Have totally forgotten how much I liked it the first time around.

Real pity the game hasn’t gotten much attention after its release (alas a fate it shares with a lot of good point and click adventures), it has a funny story, logical yet not too easy puzzles and if you like classical PnCs you can’t go wrong with this one :)

Edit 2: Eric, just saw you posted a link for Infamous Machine back in May last year (that it was on sale) - Sorry, but those things can get lost a bit over so many posts, at least I could give some in game impressions (don’t think you’ve played it so far?) ;)

New point and click adventure I found through searching around.

Haven’t tried so far but adventuregamers gave it 90 out of 100:

    Four Last Things

Definitely deserves a mention (iOS release a few months ago totally went by by me after having played through the game on PC): Inner World 2

And another release from 3 weeks ago: True Legacy (Text driven adventure), haven’t tried myself

No worries. Sometimes games are worth bringing up again! You are correct that I have not played this one yet. Probably won't for iOS, though I do believe I just got hold of a copy via a PC bundle I purchased, so there's hope for me yet :) And please feel free to post your impressions. That's what this thread is all about.

    That‘s nice :)

Just don‘t want the thread to die if it‘s quiet for a while, adventures usually get too little attention anyway. ;)

Oops, thought I had mentioned this one. Of course I can't play it, but I'm pretty sure it's gotten some strong praise.

Now this is a cool looking old school project. Unfortunately, my device isn't even listed. Might have to write the author and see if there's an Android version.

You know, it seems at this point we could just as well be having a DM conversation  Where are you, everyone else???

Yeah lol guys, where’s morrisey, teagan, firemaplegames and all the others? Can’t believe everybody stopped playing adventure games all of the sudden

    Signs of life appreciated :)

And didn‘t even know about this before going through the game releases for the last months but the PC classic Point‘n‘Click adventure game Lost Horizon found its way onto iOS a few weeks ago (again not working on iPad 2 or lower, sorry PoL :( )

Too bad for me, but not at all surprising. I see they also released Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis and a game called Preston Sterling (in 2016?).

So no one wants to donate a newer iPad for a good cause, huh?

New game: A very interesting looking detective adventure which apparently makes good use of Apple‘s Augmented Reality kit. Looks very intriguing, will maybe check it out:.

    Silent Streets - Mockingbird

Would be nice if somebody else who tried this could post impressions ofc, I definitely don’t mind being on the lookout, searching for and posting new adventures here especially since PoL sadly can‘t play as many games anymore due to device and iOS compatibility ... But c’mon guys, where are all the (other) posters gone? Except PoL, Glitch and me (and the one guy thanking us for posting adventure releases here) it certainly has became too quiet.

You guys ever plan to release a funny adventure in the vein of Ferris again? Don‘t know about sales but definitely looks as if he didn‘t as much attention as your "mystery“ style adventure releases. Real pity, cause Ferris Mueller’s Day Off was hilarious, you guys got a great sense of humor ;)

I did try the first one, but I lost interest real quick because it didn't seem to handle a device that doesn't support ARKit very well. It seems interesting enough, though, so I might try it again one of these days.
