Other than already knowing about the game such as the case with Broken Age and The Perils of Man, what's a good way of finding out new point and click type games available on the App Store?
The new Cryptic game is out, Cryptic Labyrinth, and I started my walkthrough: http://www.appunwrapper.com/2015/05/03/cryptic-labyrinth-walkthrough/
Oh excellent. I love his games. However...here I am an hour or so later and it's finished. Was it just me or was it short and very easy?
It was much easier than his previous games. I still enjoyed it, though. I also finally finished Broken Age (long game!) and my review is up. Highly recommend. http://www.appunwrapper.com/2015/05/06/broken-age-acts-1-2-full-game-review/
Correct me if I'm wrong, but does the above seems like a spam account? Attaching non-existing images to each post.
The "final" Awakening game is now out: Awakening: The Redleaf Forest HD. Of course there's an iPhone version as well.
I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse that I can't stand hidden object games, because I would have soooooooo many more adventure games to play.
You're missing out on some good stuff. Just finished G5's Graven: Purple Moon Prophecy, and it was really enjoyable. I can't handle "pure" hidden object games any more that don't have plots or inventory or exploration, but I've come to accept these hybrids as the "next best thing" to traditional adventure games like Fire Maple Studios or Digi-Chain makes.
New hidden object game: Voyage to Fantasy. Haven't tried it yet, but apparently it's a "big hit" on Facebook.
I wonder when the Gabriel Knight 20th Anniversary SE will hit iOS. I've been anxiously awaiting it since it hit Mac and PC. I have never played the original but obviously heard great things. I'd also love to see the Edna and Harvey sequel and the Deponia games on iOS.
That all sounds great. Sadly, by the time that stuff shows up on the App Store it probably won't run on my lowly iPad 2 any more!
I downloaded that game today, PointofLight, and it looks promising so far. As with a few other freebies that I have seen from BF recently, I suspect that it will require the download of a second game in order to continue playing the freebie. No purchase, or unlocking, of the second game is required, though, only the download itself.
Just ran across this one today: The Forgotten Treasure. Don't know if it's any good, but I like the old school feel to the artwork.
Not sure if anyone's playing Broken Age, but I worked very hard on my step-by-step walkthrough for Act 2: http://www.appunwrapper.com/2015/05/07/broken-age-act-2-complete-walkthrough-for-shay-and-vella/
